Wasn't always the way, as Fulham used to be quite a normal area until it got yuppified in the late 80s/90s, and our traditional core support has been overly diluted with people who just want to watch premier League football, yet don't identify with the part of Fulham that the club grew out of.

Chelsea just had a much larger traditional core, which has not been as fully diluted (although has been to a large extent).

Brentford and Rangers crowds are still made up mainly of families from the local area, and haven't been considerably 'watered down' yet.

Trust me, I preferred the old days at Fulham, although the 3,000 we had at Villa included quite a large amount of old school!
That's the problem though isn't it?.... fulham USED to be a 'normal area'. Now its full of either Aussie's, Kiwi's or yuppies. There's no true Fulham people there anymore.... IF you do get relegated I struggle to see where your main fan base will come from.. what do you reckon the attendance will be at the cottage in the championship?

True enough, was more making a point that there was a welcome return of a few old faces. The free travel was just a couple of coaches, with most of us taking advantage of the cheap London-Brum trains.

Made a change to have some proper away support again, and Villa were a bit taken aback to be fair.

If truth be told it'll be very similar to Rangers, as I strongly believe that both clubs have similar core support.

Maybe the first season will be artificially higher while the toffs try and work out what is occurring, then it'll settle down to an average 14-15,000 depending on how we are doing of course.

I hand on heart don't think you'll get close to us. I'm not having a dig or trying to pick an argument that's just my honest opinion. The first couple of seasons you'll probably have a few faithful, but that'll slowly die out. The thing that will get most of your fans is that all the game's they've ever been to are premiership one's.

No worries, your opinion. Hopefully we don't get to find out, as if we beat the wurzels on Saturday we have half a chance of getting out of it.

              Anyway, have to shoot.

Think your away crowds will increase for a season or two as it will be new grounds to visit
