The 'Gang of Four' (of course there are many more than 4 people who agree 30k would be ample to start with ) are only voicing our opinions & concerns for the future.
I really can't see why we get under your skin so much ..........
Unless of course you work in the clubs PR department .
I'm sure the 40k figure wasn't plucked out of the air. I don't know for sure, but I would guess the necessary research was done.
Why don't you let the club and its partners get on with upgrading what we have, instead of arguing about it? Time after time I've presented a reasonable case for the capacity, and time after time you've argued with me without putting forward any evidence. You even continue to use a post of mine out of context and make the claim that I support your view of having a 30k capacity, which I don't.
We shall have to agree to disagree on this one, until more information is provided by the club.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I'm busy at the mo, has anybody got TF's tweet handy where he said 40k was a figure he'd 'plucked out of the air' & he hadn't consulted any professionals yet ?
Richard why oh why would I/we let the 'professionals' just get on with it ? ? ?
They are asking for our input as we are going to be the paying customers ........... Whether or not they take on board some of our concerns is still to be seen.
You just carry on banging the drum for your version of what Uncle T wants.
PS you never answered the question about whether he has found the magic formula for Premiership survival yet.
."Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Will you be serving Fosters or Stella, or both?
Will the mustard be English or French?
What colour will the toilet paper be in the khazi?
Your problem is you're raising questions with the wrong people. I know as much as you do about this project, yet you persist in digging people out if they are happy to go along with the board's decision about moving to a new stadium. It has been stated we need to move because we cannot expand LR. The stadium has 13% restricted views, the facilities are poor, part of the stadium is uncovered, and it is cramped.
If we wish to compete at a higher level then we must increase our income, hence a multi-purpose venue. Daniel Levy said just last week that Spurs had to have a bigger stadium because of the need to house more fans coupled with the added streams of revenue. In this regard I agree with Phil Beard's conclusions on a multi-purpose venue.
Some of you thought that our new ground was being built as a 1D gig hall with us as tenants. Ian Taylor put this nonsense to bed by stating the ground would be owned by QPR.
The proposed time frame for completion has been put forward by one of the consultants on the project, along with the approximate date for the application for planning permission. The whole scheme has support from several councils, the Mayor of London, and the GLA.
As for capacity, as I've said elsewhere, I don't believe the 40k figure was simply plucked out of the air. IMO some research went into establishing that figure. There are a number of consultants working on the project and I'm guessing there's been some input from them.
You appear to believe that TF is solely responsible for the decision making at the club. Perhaps the other board members have a say, and TF acts as the public face of the club?
For the record, what public meetings did you attend over the new training ground? What questions did you raise about it? Do you agree or disagree with the Hanwell mob? Or did you just let the club get on with it?
On the subject of capacity, it is a fact that on average, new build stadiums increase attendances by 60%. For us, that means within four years, we'd hit 29k, as NW Hoopz likes to point out. This doesn't take into account that there will be thousands of new homes being built on the site, and potentially more support. As I've repeatedly said, we need to attract just 1% of the population of NW London to fill the new stadium while maintaining our current fan base. I'd rather they built a bigger stadium now than calling in the builders four years after opening. You may disagree.
There's a fair amount of stuff out there about the new stadium. Might I suggest you do a little research yourself?Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

30 to 35 teams believe they have a god given right to play in the Promised land, just because TF ( & co ) build a massive ground DOES NOT MEAN WE WILL STAY THERE !
You have just posted you would rather the club built a 40k stadium AND then try & discover the secret of eternal Premiership survival ......... Whereas the gang of four ( most of us ) accept a move is beyond our control and would vote for a 30k stadium with room to expand IF needed.
This is the sensible option as the 'entertaining' football we have had to watch for the last 3 seasons would bring in roughly the same amount of converted fans as now, resulting in watching sh1te tippy tappy football in a half empty soulless stadium.
As you yourself predict we can hope to have a hardcore fan base of 29k after 4 years ............ Surely that figure will only be achieved if we are playing entertaining football ?

I think everyone agrees that if we were playing good, entertaining football and getting better results, more people will come to games. There's loads who don't go much because of the tripe being served up at the mo.
I think the board has done well by planning to upgrade our current facilities and making funds available for new players. Unfortunately, we haven't done the business on the pitch.
That's why the next managerial appointment will be the most important in many a long year.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

At the moment we've got a number of good players and should have done better than we have. For this I put the responsibility on the shoulders of the manager and coaching staff, along with some players.
