Dunne who was fantastic for us at the start of the season is now a liability. Didn't like the body language of a lot of them out there today
Dunne has been crying out to be dropped for at least five or six games. You just know he will give away a penalty or score an own goal in the play off final or semis.
I dont think this is being to 'im a manager' talk, but everyone saw how good Yun was, and he really should of never been dropped. Why? Why harry why?
And everyone seems to blame everything on Austin Simpson and Philips getting inkured. yes the Austin one is a given with no back up. but the rest of the squad should have been more than enough to cope. or so you would have thought. but lack of desire and imagination have cost us dearly. We just seem to have a squad of players with no togetherness to play as a team. and this IS Harry's squad. he is no better than Hughes in my book. How as a club can we be left with the players we will have left at the end of the season. Far too much rebuilding need to be done for this to be a long term plan.
What "rest of the squad" is that? Two strikers the wrong side of 30 with terminal injury problems. The championship is not a subtle league. Most teams who go up have two prolific goal-scorers and a decent back up. We went into the season without. From the first couple of home games when we fluked a couple of v tight wins against poor teams it was pretty obvious we weren't half as special as some thought we were.

Correct. Dunne did v well but prior to this season had been out for virtually a year and its been pretty obvious he has run out of gas. Yunn and Traore have both looked good this season but Harry has been reluctant to try them. I'm wary of second guessing the manager too much but he does seem very driven by reputation - old manager syndrome.
Turning point of the season was McLaren leaving. Then, as everyone says, it was having no striker other than Austin. And bringing in utter and total dross in the. January window, Then having no midfielder until Morrison who can carry the ball into space and attack defences. In this league (pace Adel when we went up) that makes all the difference to a team.

Bang on the money about Dunne. I though the effort was good today, to be fair. They seemed up for it and chased the game, but weren't good enough- especially, as we all know, in the final third.

Redknapp has always been a reputation manager who simply picks and then continues to pick the same players time and time again. Let's be honest he has been in football for 30 plus years and won FA Cup and destroyed that club in doing so, the most tactically clueless manager ever at Rangers and there have been some shockers.
nothing gone wrong in my eyes, expectations were mid table for this season, above that so all good for me.
Spot on Quaz......many, and I do mean many, were predicting a Wolves type scenario after relegation from Prem and having a clear out of the so called mercenaries. Think we've done well, not to "do a Wolves", and to probably end up in the play offs is certainly a good achievement, all things considered. How many of those predicting a relegation struggle this season, are now moaning about how sh it things are and missing out on auto promo blah blah blah. Quite a high % would be my guess!!

so far we are sort of doing a leicester last season, they were up there til then end fell flat on their faces
only to come back stronger this season and win the title

yeah but if you look at our squad compared to leicesters then, we have far too many loans and people at wrong end of their careers. We take 2 young lads like keane and carrol on loan but they're rubbish and loan our young lads out. We were building squad for this season and this season only. Talk of next season is an excuse for failure this season. If we got in a young manager now and let him build his squad, team, then I'd agree but we won't.
