Hitchcock fan or not. Anyone posting smarmy messages like 'oh it was against league 1 opposition' & thinks he'd do no worse than Keane or Maiga needs to walk away from football as you haven't a clue.

The kid scores regularly. You can only score against what's in front of you & he's OURS but no Harry's put faith in two of the worst reserve players I've ever seen & would rank them worse than Macheda & Tamas Priskin.

If we can't give a few minutes to an up & coming youngster who a scores goals we might as well never build an academy as it's clear youth won't be given a chance.

I still feel this all boils back to when Hithcock made a fool of Harry by scoring an injury time winner after bringing him on to make a point to Fernandes. We've never seen him since. Not 1 second of football. Makes sense that.

Putting more trust in Maiga and Keane than Hitchcock is more of an insult to the fella than anything.... but hay Rotherham know best by not playing him..... hang on didn't someone just get a hatrick for them hmmmmmm

Yeah that's what I thought. One thing you can say about Hitchcock is when he's needed to prove himself, he does exactly that..... but no one seems to want to take a chance on him.

Now you know Kev I've always backed redknapp, but to pick Maiga and Keane over him is very questionable...

Had a little peek at their message board on Saturday after the game and the general feeling was hitch would be in the bench next week as the two they have got up front have been fantastic all season and doesn't really warrant dropping them . They are impressed with tom though as you'd expect after a hatrick . If he keeps coming off the bench and making that sort of impact he won't be ignored for much longer

Thats fair enough if their other strikers have been on form.... but you cant exactly say the same for us. IMO now would be an ideal time to bring him back. We could find the perfect partner for Austin just in time for the playoffs
