We want you to have a say on the new stadium – draft survey published
Whilst I have many, many fond memories of Loftus Road, I have to say that it is completely unrecognisable to the one I first saw. If someone had told me then that there would be seats at the ends, I would have thought them mad.
And the result of all the changes, did in fact, make it one of the most modern grounds in Britain, until most other clubs overtook us, with investment either completely renovating their grounds or them moving to brand new stadiums.
It doesn't have to be doom and gloom. Things move on all the time. We actually suffered a lot because of our failure to do just that.
Can we please have minimum 40k capacity with room to expand to 60k so we are in a position to compete with Arsenal in the future as we will be tapping an extra 2 million potential fans in NW London. I've been reading some reports you see and the sky is the limit for the growth of this club and with rebranding in SE Asia I think you should start producing matchday programmes in Malay. I also thiink there should be a heli pad on the roof so One Direction can make a spectacular entrance when they hold their concert there (I'll be in the front row). Also I need 50inches of leg room as my dear old knees have suffered all these years and gold plated taps with marble sinks in the toilets as I have had to endure the poor toliet facilities for too long.
Whats all this forcing us to leave Loftus Road, we have had more grounds in the last 100 years than most clubs but to move on we HAVE to leave LR or we simply won't compete with other sides of our size. Without TF's money and input we would quite possibly be where Luton or Pompey are........I don't deem that as forcing us to leave LR I deem it to be ensuring our kids still have a side to support in 50 years time.
Good post. What some people don't seem to realise is that if we don't develop we'll get left behind. Only the other day Spurs announced a new stadium plan.
Some people are only worried about the here and now, not the future. If we don't move, eventually our ground will be viewed in the same way as Kennilworth Road is these days.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

You have revealed yet another skill you possess, that of being bilingual. You speak English and Rubbish.
I don't suppose you remember the days when we came above Arsenal in the league, or when we reached two cup finals, or just missed out on being league champions.
I'm glad Ian Taylor has put to bed the daft idea of yours that we won't own the new stadium and that it's being built for 1D gigs. It will be owned by QPR.
Happy days!

1/ stay at loftus rd
2/ safe standing areas will soon be introduced so no need to move
3/ its our home.....we love it warts n all
To be honest, I don't really want to stand any more.
I'm not ancient but would favour sitting, just not with the seat digging into my knees or if the person next to me is over 5'8" or over 12 stone meaning they're virtually sitting on my lap so I'd have to say I'm in favour of a new ground.
When the general playing field was fairer but times have changed and we have to change too if we have any long term ambitions; not just for the Prem league but if we want to be competitive in the championship (if this is the division we remain). Outside of QPR fans we probably have one of the worst grounds in the championship in terms of comfort, earning ability, safety etc

Oh and I'd like to be able to have refreshments without having to leave my seat early to beat the queues. Or a **** for the same reasons.
Ultimately, whilst the atmosphere in the stadium can be first class, the facilities aren't and that is what we have to face up to.
