  • Remy linked with Everton & has buyout clause

Of £10.5M apparently, so alll this talk of "Remy is a £20M player easily" can stop now.

Also linked with Spurs and Newcastle again

Apologies if this has been up before.

I should probably write something insightful here

I'll say what Matty usually does "you don't believe everything you read in the newspapers do you"...

Also, this part doesn't make sense:

"Wanted man: Newcastle striker Loic Remy will not be short of suitors should parent club QPR decide to cash in on him this summer"

Should QPR decide?? Surely if there is a buy out clause then the club wont have a say in the matter should someone trigger it

Agree regarding papers talking rubbish but I think it's pretty much accepted we wouldn't of got a player of Remy's calibre without a few clauses thrown in. It's a shame but that's they way of the world when it comes to football contracts these days. Players usually have the club by the niags.

          llook

look the likelyhood of him not having a buy out clause is very remote,he has a top agent and he would not be that stupid as to not put one into the mix

So that's Everton, Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle all showing interest. These low valuations being thrown around are just starting numbers. As soon as a formal bid is made then the real bidding will begin. 20m+ IMO

Stop it please it's not a game of football manager on your PC. Ultimately it will be down to the player where he goes. He'll narrow his options down to staying in London.

Lucky to get £15 million for him, prob go for around £12-13 million.

I reckon he did have a buy out clause which would have been for last summer which would have seen him sold prob for the price we got him. However his alleged antics scuppered that as no one was going to pay out for a player with an unknown future and therefore the clause has expired and we can cash in or that's what I am hoping

Lots of guessing all round tbf.

We'll know when he goes. Or maybe not even then.

This is it unless you were present in the room when Remy put pen to paper all this talk of buy out clauses is pointless

we'll prob exchange him for will keane. Top top player, fantastic ability, always first in to training (along with green, barton, etc.....they're all first in!)

The valuation for Rémy, it is understood, is not only lower but more straightforward because there is a buy-out clause, which makes the 27-year-old an attractive option. Tottenham Hotspur are also interested and Newcastle have not given up hoping of signing him on a permanent basis.

Hardly conclusive! At least this isn't the Daily Fail but I think is unforgivably lazy journalism and that this clown is talking about the 8m buyout clause that we all know has already expired.
