He's had a lot of games to impress this season & he just hasn't. Has probably had 3 possibly 4 half decent games but many awful ones.

Can't wait to see the back of him. The fact Harry puts him continually in front of our own youngsters means only one of two things, either ours are completely shite or he's a blinkered out of date manager who doesn't give youth from his own club a chance & just plays him because of his spurs connection.

Perkins, wearing number 4 for them today, was a country mile better than Carroll.

Sorry but for the role he plays his passing accuracy is shocking. Hes played well in a few games this season but he's been below standard in the vast majority of games.

Very busy on and off the ball. Exactly the type of player we should be looking to snap up and nurture

Agreed. Reminded me of Lee Cattermole. Done very well to break up play. Although saying that I think Henry was excellent today bar the odd wayward pass

Henry does what Henry does I like him and when he does play puts himself about and puts a shift in. Never going to be a fans favourite but certainly a place for him in team/squad

Agree I'm not an Henry fan but if Barton doesn't play then Henry should be first name on team sheet! he's the only other player who gwts stuck in, and we need that badly with the other lightweights in there

Carroll aint a bad player for me, he just needs players around him like Faurlin and Barton at the start of the season.

When he is in there all on his own, like with Henry, it doesn't work.

Kind of see what your getting at WLR but would argue if Barton and Faurlin are about we dont need Carroll as they do what he does and at another Level. I think that Carroll needs more of a Henry around him as he can do the dirty work which in theory should allow him to do the pretty stuff.

However from memory Carroll has played with all CM (Barton, Henry, Niko, Yossi, Jenas etc etc) and looked t urd with them all so think its time to stop looking at excuses for him and ask the question is he really as good as the player we thought we were getting!! Think the problem is that the expectations given the hype were way beyond the ability he actually posseses

Carroll's best games for us have been in a midfield 3, mainly before Charlie was injured. With one holding and 2 floating, he excels.

Definitely! It's shown in a 442 that it just doesn't work, there's not enough support. However with Ravel in the team, we can't really play 3 in the middle as he roams.

firstly i have to say im not a tom carroll fan...however, in fairness ,he is only a 'boy' being constantly thrown in and out of the side because mr redknapp does not know his best starting eleven or his best midfield combo......if ale faurlin/matty phillips were fit carroll would be nowhere near the starting eleven...best he returns to spurs never to return imho!

though he will probably then go on to get 50 caps for england n be sold to real madrid for 40million.....
