    Automatics still possible!!!!

I have settled for play offs in my head but after looking at both Leicester and Burnleys fixtures can we still push for that 2nd spot?

Has anyone else seen Leicesters run in? I think they have everyone in the top 7 to play apart from derby. Us burnley, brighton, wigan and reading plus a couple of tricky away games at bolton and huddersfield.....

Could Leicester capitulate like most years?

Will be hard.. we have to push on after last night. I think Burnlehhh could pip Leicester, they've been amazing. If Leicester beat Burnlehhh and we win, we go 7 points behind them

6 wins behind Leicester with 8 remaining, so that's a definitive NO,4 wins behind Burnley who win nearly every game so that's a NO too

Hypothetical I know but if we were to win last 8 and reach 93 points, would that be enough? Has a team ever topped 90 points and not been promoted automatically?

Possible but unlikey, Burnley deserves the Championship as they have been the best team I have seen at Loftus Road for years.

I think they will beat Leicester to the title, we however have to catch Leicester and I can't see them losing 6 out of 8 games.

Would love it to happen. Mathematically still possible but realistically? Not for me

Should Leicester lose on Sat & we win, we will only be 10 points behind with 7 to play (8 for Leicester), we still have to play them at theirs plus the fact that they also have a few tough games ahead, So who knows?

I know its hard to imagine but its just panned out that leicester toughest games are coming in the last 8 for them, so i know its a long shot but defeat to burnley and wigan and i bet theyd be looking over their shoulders, obviously wed have to play pur part to...

Its unrealistic but not impossible. Lets not give up until it is mathematically impossible.

Need one of Burnley or Leicester to implode !

Mate, we're 13 points behind Leicester with 8 games to play (Leicester have 9). If Leicester win the game in hand, we're 16 points behind. Leicester have a far superior goal difference too. So basically you're asking Leicester to lose 6 of their last 8 games and us win all of ours? Seriously!

If you're clinging on to any hope of automatic then you need to look at Burnley as it's way more achievable.

Leicester to beat them on Saturday followed by a tricky trip to Watford. They could easily lose both games and suddenly we're 4 points behind (if we beat Blackpool and Bournemouth, which we won't, in my opinion)

Burnley then have a tough midweek trip to Barnsley who are fighting for their lives, followed by a home game against a stubborn Middlesbrough. On the back of that, they have two local derbies, away at Blackpool and home to playoff chasing Wigan. They end the season with a home game against playoff chasing Ipswich and final day away at playoff chasing Reading.

Now, that's a hell of a lot more doable! (Not that I think it'll happen).

You're asking Burnley to lose 4 games from their last 8, which they might well do but the sticking point is, we have to win all our games. I think we will win all our home games but away games at Bournemouth, Leicester, Blackburn and relegation threatened Barnsley is our problem. In fact, I'd go as far to say, we won't win any of the away games.

In other words, give it up and start saving for the playoffs.

I think this is the appropriate thread to announce my upcoming marriage to Taylor Swift. All are invited to attend the wedding feast with Baltic herring dishes in abundance, date to be confirmed when we clinch automatic promotion.
