It was hard, but we won, and that's the most important thing. Our players worked hard, however we looks so shy when it comes to shooting. Our players just try to get in a perfect position before they try to shoot. In today football a player must act quickly, otherwise he'll get robbed.

As for Harry bringing on Yun right at the death - what an insult to our MOTM of 3 days ago.

Also the whole team looked out of sorts. We just dont seem a happy camp right now. Those rumours after the Boro game must be true.
Normally agree with you Stanley but thought Barton had an excellent game and worked his socks off.

BTW, what happened after the Boro game?

To be honest I did not go or watch on a stream. All I saw was the result, 1-0 to us happy days, say no more.

I thought we were comfortably the better side. Wigan had three good spells first 5mins of each half and last five mins of the second. We got in good positions and should have taken our chances

Can't agree with Stan, but can't agree with that. Comfortably? Not sure why I was s hitting bricks for large parts of the game or made Greeno my MOTM by a country mile followed closely by Clint. It was at best even stevens; more likely methinks Wigan shaded it. As my mate said if they played with another decent striker they'd probably have won. But a fantastic win. And great effort all round. Such a shame Morrison's marvellous free kick didn't go in.

Not for me 77 we broke on them loads of times and picked the wrong pass which would have opened them up. We had the ball for large periods of the game. It was uncomfortable because we were defending a one nil lead Morrisons chance off the bar goes in and we coast to victory in my book

Their shot just before half time across an open goal? Our player blocking theirs from scoring right by the goal line. Numerous goal-line scrambles. Several very good Green saves. The goal and the Morrison free kick aside we didn't have much end product. Zamora would still be running onto some of those through balls into next week...

As I say don't think there was much in it either way but they did have their chances.

Barton was his usual hustling, harrying tough-tackling self however his usual high standards of passing have dipped not just tonight but in the last 2 or 3 games.

The rumours were to do with player dissension against Harry over poor preparations for the game Sheff Wed game. Hopefully there's no truth in it.

Of course I'm delighted about the 3 points but here's a few more examples of my overall impressions:

Just back kettle on, can't believe the OP. Wigan weren't unlucky, we played well. Barton infront of the back 4 was magnificent and even BZ upfront did his job well. Clint Hill was like watching Brazil and green was excellent. This was against a team that everyone said was flying, beat city blah blah we held our own especially with a ref that didn't do us any favours and we came away with a well warranted win but some still don't think it's good enough.
If we are going to put our team under such a microscope then they can never do any good and we no longer become supporters but critics.
Tonight was a good night and us supporters enjoyed it. It was freezing though.

                          Wigan hit the bar
Numerous last ditch tackles around our box
Two great saves from Green 2nd half (and a couple of decent ones 1st)
Bad miss by Mcalean the schlerg
They had more shots on and off

So we mugged them for 2 points I reckon

                          About time!
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Glad to have got the points they've been games we should have got something and didn't but I must say I think they are the best team we've played, There philosophy of throwing players on to try and get something really impressed me. Don't fancy them in the play offs hope we avoid them

There were some threatening moments of course. But we also had our share of chances though. It could have been 2-0. Overall a hard earned win but not undeserved.
