  • Where can you see Burnley dropping points...

    Below is their remaining games:

    (A) Doncaster - W
    (H) Leicester - L
    (A) Watford - D
    (A) Barnsley - D - Strange one I know!
    (H) Middlesbrough - W - TONKING!
    (A) Blackpool - W
    (H) Wigan - D
    (H) Ipswich - W
    (A) Reading - D

For me Leicester will be tough, but I also don't fancy their last 3 games given all those teams are fighting for a playoff spot. I guess it depends on how long Danny Ings is out for. However, based on those 9 results that would give them 16points from 27 available putting them on 92 points! - I don't see us taking 26 from 27 available so playoff it is for us.

As Claridge said on Saturday. You're asking Burnley to drop more points now than they have all season, not going to happen. We just need to finish the season strongly, we're only going to get better with players returning from long lay offs.

aint going to happen daz. If it was us in their position i would of celebrated being in the premiership every weekend for about the last month already.

Given our recent erratic form there's more likelihood of us dropping out of the playoff places than catching Burnley.

We need to keep watching who's behind us not the dust from the runaway horses. We're not gonna catch them.

Burnley deserve automatic promotion. Very hungry, hardworking and skilful side.

Can see them dropping points at all those away games

Games are different near the end of the season due to the pressure

Problem is can see us dropping points so will be play offs at best

Probably drop points at The Etihad next season but cant see them failing now.
2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!

2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....

2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....

                    2015/2016, average at best.....

                    2016/2017, same old, same old....

                    2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!

Its the hope that kills you!

I reckon it will be against Man Utd next season ........
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

They may drop a few but not enough to lose out on automatic promotion

Realistically, the top two are 99% promoted already.

They have been up there all season without really slipping up.

Both sides have a great work ethic and have goals spread amongst the team. They are both very similar to the team QPR had when winning the title under Warnock.

QPR have no realistic hope of catching Burnley. had they won the recent games at Charlton & Brighton they would have had a chance, but not now.

All my hopes now rest on holding on to a play off place and speedy and full recovery from Austin. He can make a huge difference linking up with Morrison.
Although even then, given how they have performed against top 8 sides this season, I don't fancy their chances of beating Wigan, Derby Reading or Forest over two legs and then a one off final.

Agree Stan but the beauty of the playoffs is that you could actually get to the final and promotion without actually having won a game if you shut the door at the back, something we done with ease earlier in the season while we pinched our one goal at the other end of the pitch

If we are serious and wanting to go up, we have to finish the season strong. As you say Matty we're only going to get better with our players coming back.
