Want the 2nd leg at Home as from previous experience when we played Oldham at home the crowd in my opinion helped win that game

How do the playoffs work? Am a relatively new QPR from the States; made a special trip to London with my daughter in December to see the Leicester City game at Loftus Road.

Third place plays sixth place over two legs, with third at home second leg.
Fourth place plays fifth place over two legs with fourth place at home second leg.

Winner on aggregate of both semis, goes to wembley in the final in a 100 million pound play off, that if drawn after extra time, is decided on penalties

          Welcome Tan

Well at the end of matchday 46 franchises that have finished in the end zone positions of 3 to 6 go into a playoff extravaganza where franchise 3 plays franchise 6 in two games and franchise 4 plays franchise 5. The winners then have a one off soccer match at stadium Wembley where the winner takes all with the event finished off with customary fireworks and ticker-tape

Thanks so much for that information -- hope it becomes very meaningful for us by the early part of May...

This is a fabulous system. Wish they did the same for American football and baseball.

                Welcome!
Ideally we would want to be 3rd or 4th come the end of the season. We finished 4th the last time we were in a playoff scenario, and played Oldham back in 2003. Because we finished 4th and Oldham were 5th, we played at their ground in the first leg (that game finished 1-0) and ours in the second (we won that one 1-0.
I think it would be better to have the home leg second for sure.

If the table was like it is now at the end of the season we'd play Wigan in the semis..... Would that be better or worse than meeting them in the final?

Id rather play Wigan in the final and that's who I think we will play in the final.

And play Reading in the semis

when warnock takes over at forest, i doubt reading will be in the play offs mate.

true mate - Us, Derby and Wigan are nailed on for play off spots.. The last one will be between Reading and Forest I reckon.

Odd timing to sack ya gaffer with 9 games remaining

but that means either reading or forest will have to jump above them into 5th or we finish 3rd or 6th. I honestly cant see the top five changing places before the end of the season
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

I can see Wigan leap frogging us with a game in hand but I think we may finish 3rd
