Loyalty is a two way street

If potential targets look and see the way someone that has served the club well just discarded then what does that tell them...

Faurlin completely different to the injury prone pair of strikers we have

I also dont think suffering two serious knee injuries means he is all of a sudden injury prone, someone like Hoilett is injury prone - always pulling up, missing a game here and there, etc etc

          Hehe. Goalkeeper?? DOF

I think we need to give Faurlin time and unfortunately for you, money. When Barton has left the building Faurlin will still be here. That´s my opinion.

Good news on Faurlin. It may be a gamble on his fitness, but it is a gamble worthwhile. We know what to expect from him. On the other hand, we did take many gambles on players near the end of their careers and very much injury prone. AJ, to name one. Then there was that international player (I forgot his name!) that we gave him a 1 year deal and he got injured after a few minutes? Jenas, Dunne....all coming from long injuries.

I hope you're right for our clubs sake, hope the deal is good for both party.

Being a football player, one of the first thing I did after confirmation of the need for surgery was to look for professional football play...

Players can return from an ACL injury, and in the case of a few in that article - stronger and better than ever

But it happens, it's not an insult to our pair of strikers they're injury prone, they just are. Some players are. We can't and shouldn't hand out contracts
just because we feel sorry or like the player. Faurlin himself wouldn't want a contract given to him for any other reason than he is good enough

And Faurlin is more than good enough, just needs support in returning from injury

Just have to trust the manager's judgement

Thought so Dave. He done his knee twice?? Was never the same in my opinion after that. Faurlin a better player with different sort if game so hopefully stands better chance
