  • just a bit of perspective...

... we played 55 minutes with 10 men,
Our starting 11 was our B team,
Our subs bench was our C team,
    Played away from home

How often does last nights team actually play together?

I know everything about last night was shock, a complete mess. But just take certain points into consideration.

Agreed Nick. I just think everyone's opinions after last night have just become a build up of everything.

Yes, there is probably a lot in that.

And i can totally understand that as well. Last night was the worst result and performance of the season by a mile, right at the business end of the season as well.
Very worrying, and the major worry is not making the play offs, but performing like that in the away leg of the semi.
Last night sapped all of us happy clappers confidence, and gave the doom and gloom crew the most satisfying night they have had in years, the 'told you so's' have been coming fast and furious.
And it pains me to say it, i think this board could blow up and they might have another brilliant night after saturday as well.

Good points there Nick.....but why the hell can't some think about those reasoned facts before spouting their doom and despair is beyond me....engage brain before speaking is always a good thing to do.

Why do we go on a big high after a single win and start thinking everything is bound to go perfect... raising expectations and creating undue pressure? Also why do we go into meltdown after a single loss, predicting doom and gloom and all kind of calamities, bringing everyone's mood down and creating a lack of belief and loss of confidence?

Do we have to spout all this nonsense due to a lack of self control? Do we have to constantly go from one extreme to the other every week? If someone is to blame we have to look at ourselves first before blaming everyone under the sun. Did everyone think it was so inconceivable that we might actually lose the game yesterday? Get a grip people, come on! Perhaps it's time we all reflected on the saying as it goes:
"Ask not what your Club can do for you but what you can do for your Club!"

P.S. By "we" I don't mean every fan but the general sentiment in the myriad of threads and posts flooding the forum on match-day, always fluctuating wildly based on a single result.

              Exactly tw.

After watching last night. I could've quite easily of steamed right in, with a whole load of negative $hit, completely tear last nights team apart. They were worse than anything I've seen in a rangers top for years. And that's taking into account our short stint in the premiership... but when you look at the facts, not excuses but facts. Its excusable.

That excuses last nights game, but what about the rest of our p i s s poor performances season.

Agreed Nick, although a meltdown after one poor result was coming. The unjust sending-off killed the game, but we still played awfully - always passing sideways.

before the red , we had 65% of the possession and 11 men on the pitch, we were in control and yet failed to score....failed to score
they broke and secs later, had a pen, we saw red and players rowing again.....then they played like madrid.
we need to turn the stats into goals
