TOTALLY disagree I am afraid.. you do not need money and a good team to make it in the prem.
Norwich had no money when they first went up yet stayed up because of their good team.. potentially the same as Palace this season as well as Swansea. These teams did not have a lot of money but they had a nucleus of a good growing side.

I would also argue that there are a lot of not so good teams, who have a lot of money and stay up this way and make it in the prem.
You pay big money for 2 individual players and you could easily make it in the prem. Villa were not a good side last season but Benteke has practically made them and kept them in the Prem

Based purely on the here and now I would give a 4 out of 10. The feelgood factor is not there for me right now.

For me its a 10 all day long, always has been, always will be.
40+ years of supporting our team has taught me that there will always be good times, but only because there will always be far more bad times.

What we are seeing currently, is typical of our history; anyone who has been around long enough, is not surprised or put off by our predicaments over the past 4 to 5 years.
When Man U was walking away with trophy after trophy & Liverpool back in the 80s were doing the same; I sort of felt a bit sorry for their supporters, as their roller coaster only went up & rarely ever came down.
The highs & lows of being a QPR supporter has always kept me engaged, as you never know what is around the next corner.

On a side note, I am still convinced that we will go up automatically this season - OK, I'm off to work, not to return to read the abuse that is bound to follow

There's a big difference between staying up and staying up comfortably (not constantly in a relegation battle).

Why do you think we struggled so much when we went up?$hit team

If we had just played this season in the premiership, where do you think we would have been in the table? Not in the top 5 like we've been in the championship this season.

I don't think you can say this.. that is all because it is not the case

You need to have both money and a good team to make it in the prem.

I agree there is a big difference in staying up. I haven't said there was a difference.. Well we didn't struggle at first, we had our Champ side with a few additions and were a good side under Warnock.
We struggled when they tried to totally overhaul the side, then it became a poor team.

I don't know where we would of been because we would of had a totally different side?

"To make it" in the premiership NOT stay there for a couple of seasons, you need both
              money and a good team.

When we was under Warnock I wouldn't say we was comfortable in the premiership, but we was surviving. Had he been given more time and "money" than maybe we would've been.

My point is, making it in the prem and just being in the prem (being in a constant relegation battle) are 2 completely different things. To MAKE IT you need both money and a decent team.

                1. Sack Harry and bring in a good manager and it goes straight to 9.

Voted 5-6, because this is average, not much to enjoy as usual.

at the start of the season i would have taken top 10 but after spending over 12mil in transfers and loans, we
could and should be doing alot better.

                    good thread btw
QPR should and would be doing better had Redknapp spent more of that money on another striker and a midfielder with energy and drive rather than pack it with ageing midfielders like Henry, O'Neil, Krancjar and Benayoun who must all be earning a decnt sum each week.

I'll be Rangers 'till I die, but over the last three seasons, it's been largely an unenjoyable task.

                          I voted 1!

We've had trouble at QPR for the last 20 odd years, they could never get anything right, always have bad press, always trouble going on somewhere.. Why can't we just be like other clubs and have some success...

Very true Olly, the name Drama Queens park Rangers thrown at us from other supporters does seem very apt.

THis is it isn't it, we're all of us trapped in this regardless whether we're happy clappers or doom-mongers.

Which other clubs are these then? A minority of clubs in the prem and FL have success...the majority of clubs just tread water.
At least we were Champions a few years ago and all that comes with that. A lot of clubs would take that. Not that bad is it?
