Sorry if im being a bit thick, but it really does read like that.
Our early season form will mean we will scrap the play offs but based on our second half of the season form it will mean we will go into them a team in complete decline.

We are clearly not ready for promotion, Redknapp backed by 'Uncle Tony' failed to build on the squad in January, a few injuries to key players later and we are ****ed.

Would rather finish 7th and save the heartache, show Redknapp the door and build a squad around the nucleus we have after we have shown all our out of contract players the door not worth keeping.

So do I want us to lose every game .... don't be daft but personally I can't see what difference it makes as we are not going up this season.

but we were the dogs bowlarks with charlie playing, and he will be again in every play off game and before. Isnt there even a slight glimmer of hope, a miniscule chance we could win them, cos we were better than everyone (on table showing) when charlie was on fire.

I don't think any of the other teams would want to play us. Big names for big games. We can out possess any team , just not sure we can out gun them. Hopefully by the time the play offs are here we have the final third sorted. Don't care who we play!

Im actually totally dumbstruck and flabbergasted at how many people on this forum have given up when its near on a 100% we will be in the play offs, and we will have our main goal scorer back by then and cos everyone in the top six has beaten us, they will be underestimating us and not raising their game like they have so far against us. We will have a massive chance to win them ,and the only doubt i have that we wont is, history. Not the team, the history of rangers always breaking your heart.

Kev for me the sides that come out the other end of the play offs are the sides with goals in the team and who are able to out score the opposition I am afraid we are not a side like that, even with Austin, we grind results out and keep clean sheets. If don't keep a clean sheet the most we tend to get is a point

Everytime we have faced one of the top six Harry sends the team out for a point and more often then not we come away with nothing it wont change he will go safety first and no doubt be happy to get and early goal and defend for the remaining 3 halves

I dont think we stand any chance in the play offs west mate, same as i didn't think we had any chance of the title when liverpool went to wolves, or when we held spurs and then got beat in the replay, same as when even little oxford mullered us, ditto with cardiff. But surely we still want to be in them for the days out, even though we all know we would lose even if we got ronaldo and messi and bale and suarez in on loan just for the play offs. Its what we do. Thats Rangers.
But still, its a great occasion and worth being part of it still isnt it?
Even just for that stupid naive feeling of 'maybe this time, please this time, rangers will break the voodoo spell of breaking our hearts' that we get every big game.

You thought that about birmingham and do about yeovil,on saturday, in fact you think we will lose every single game we ever play, so you dont count.

Brighton.......they were poor last night and with Phillips, Simpson and Austin would have won comfortably playing like we did.

Let's go easy on each other - there are a lot of us very disappointed with yesterday's result, particularly those who travelled. They will cheer up when we get a result on Saturday.

If you set aside yet another disappointing defeat and look at the big picture, it isn't that bad. 20 of the other 23 teams in this division would swap places with us in an instant. 4th in the table and barring a total collapse, pretty much a shoo-in for the play-offs. From there it is a bit of a lottery but there is a good chance we will have Charlie back by then so that will help.

Automatic is gone so don't sweat the losses. Just so long as we get enough points to be in the play-offs, that is what matters now. Then we'll watch the lottery unfold.

That is a blatant lie. Several weeks ago I ran a poll about how many matches we might still win this season and on that thread I stated that I am confident that we would still win (a) few. Probably not enough to retain the a playoff spot but certainly more than zero wins.
