And in terms of playing a settled team, Harry can't even play a settled system. The past four matches have variously seen us play 3421 4231 and 442. Holliet and Traore have swapped wings several times. And in matches....

Honestly like playing with 10 men yesterday with that kid up front. Offered nothing and I don't remember him controlling it once. It's not just the fact he didn't score, it is the fact that he did nothing at all. Morrison, Hoilett, Traore, Barton etc had nothing in front of them and when they did pass it to him he lost it instantly. When Dunne/Hill knocked it long he barely challenged. Truly shocking.
People say on another night we would have won comfortably. I didn't see us miss one clear cut chance or miss a load of half chances and we never looked dangerous. We had loads of the ball but do nothing with it. Took a while to realise it but Brighton worked out we were never going to score so they pushed on more and got the rewards.

[QUOTE=Kevin Mcleod;1230259]One of our own, meaning we own him. Hes not on loan. If we are going to boo at someone and make loads of threads calling them shite after two games of them ever playing for us and not scoring, its better and much more satisfying destroying someone we actually own imho.[/QUOTE

Originally posted by Hubble View PostA young striker, in only his second start, fails to score and is utterly slated by people on this forum for that. I understand the frustration after last night's game, but how about a bit of perspective? Who remembers how Furlong was slated when he first started for us? With many fans it seems a striker absolute sh ite until they score, and then they're suddenly fantastic. Sure, that's an over-simplification, but you get what I mean. What's unfortunate is that, at this stage of the season, we have a team that is still trying to gel. Instead of having the luxury of playing the same 11 week in, week out, like Leicester or Burnley, we have been decimated by injury. The loss of Charlie, Danny Simpson and Matt Phillips at almost the same time (all of whom were playing superbly when injured), is a blow from which we've yet to recover.
You could see there was quality in our team last night, and on another night, we would have scored a hatful. It's extremely hard to be patient in these circumstances, but what choice do we have? And for what it's worth, I think Keane is a decent young striker who will come good.
Keane also failed to score for Wigan (I wonder why they did not want to take him back).
Keane will be as useful to QPR as those other loanees from Man U - Macheda, Fabio (Keiron something??).

Redknapp and no one else is really top blame for last night's defeat.

No lack of effort from the lad but its plain to see hes not ready for this level would rather have BZ up top who were shelling out for and would have given Upson a tougher game on experience alone
Upson who is a player on a sharpe decline really taught him a lesson. I said this on twitter but Upson beat Keane in the air, he beat him on the floor and he actually beat him in the foot race all night Upson literally had him in his pocket
