thats right. and dont forget, harry said he was not interested in signing nakhi wells because he was unproven and had alot still to learn.
those 30 odd goals in a divison lower is not good enough for harry. he always strves for better hence signing will keane who has not scored any goals this season and dellatorre who is from brazil. and as for kevin doyle, why sign a striker from one league lower when you can sign one which is two leagues lower!
he did play in the prem though many years ago
harry is our saviour!
Erm...Nahki Wells 1 goal in 9 (against us!), hardly pulling up trees!
A young striker, in only his second start, fails to score and is utterly slated by people on this forum for that. I understand the frustration after last night's game, but how about a bit of perspective? Who remembers how Furlong was slated when he first started for us? With many fans it seems a striker absolute sh ite until they score, and then they're suddenly fantastic. Sure, that's an over-simplification, but you get what I mean. What's unfortunate is that, at this stage of the season, we have a team that is still trying to gel. Instead of having the luxury of playing the same 11 week in, week out, like Leicester or Burnley, we have been decimated by injury. The loss of Charlie, Danny Simpson and Matt Phillips at almost the same time (all of whom were playing superbly when injured), is a blow from which we've yet to recover.
You could see there was quality in our team last night, and on another night, we would have scored a hatful. It's extremely hard to be patient in these circumstances, but what choice do we have? And for what it's worth, I think Keane is a decent young striker who will come good.
dont like to see any player as a victim of the 'boo boys' as it cant help in any way shape or form. however,im mystified how we have not give our own youngsters a cance in the wake of our injury crisis up front.also think it was a dreadful mistake to think zamora/johnson would lat more than five minutes.history proves they are injury prone yet redknapp went with them??.how many years has he been a manager??

Yep, I too am mystified by this - to not develop our younger players at the expense of playing loan players seems mad. But that's not Will Keane's fault. Personally I would have liked to have seen Hitchcock and Shariff feature for us this season.

On another night we would have scored a hat-full you say. Just wondering what night that might be, because I'm genuinely struggling to remember when such a night last was. Maybe back in the Championship about three years ago?

Which other night might we have scored a hat full of goals? Not all season. And even with Charlie, Simpson and Phillips. Oh and Ale Faurlin. And, having not scored more than three goals only two or three time in the past three seasons, I don't go to games ever expecting a hat full of goals. I previously expected to win ugly. Now these past seven games I expect to lose. But I never expect to see goals. And Harry hasn't played the same team two games in a row with or without injuries. Phillips spent as much time on the bench before his injury than he did on the pitch. You might be right about Keane, but on the evidence I've seen he's a long way from being any form of finished article.
