  • Joey Barton interview on Player

If you haven't watched it yet then watch it.

It's worth the subscription fee alone.

What an inspirational character he is and incredible how he's turned his life around. He's just what our club needs at this stage of the season and must be proving highly motivational in and around the squad and dressing room. He's clearly got the QPR bug.

Really? I wonder what has changed so drastically since a year ago when he was so keen to stay in France? Doubt his sincerity TBH. While I am happy that he performs on the pitch, I don't care about his verbal pitches. And I definitely won't pay a penny to listen to him or any other footballer's official talks
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I think you'll find his verbal pitches are as important in the dressing room/training ground as his performances are on the pitch.

A week is a long time in football, let alone a year

Like you, I'd doubt his sincerity too if I hadn't watched the full 7 minute interview. But you just have to look into his eyes and listen to how passionately he speaks to realise his sincerity and the ring of truth to it.

And as Nick says, his influence is certainly important around the training ground/dressing room.

Barton certainly gets passionate about things, doubt anyone would argue against that. If only they were always good and useful things. I'll reserve my overall judgment until he plays his last match for us.

As far as this season is concerned I think most would accept he is having a good one and has turned his form around.

                Cracking interview!

Pleased to say that Joey has totally proved me wrong. Massive asset to the club when his heads right and he's playing like he has this season!

It seems he's had a positive influence on Chaz and helping Ravel.

Who knows, perhaps he's come to terms with being a QPR player and working hard both on and off the pitch for the club's benefit.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Joey Barton is a synonym for "false dawn", he will let us down again.

You're talking about something that might never happen though?
