I'd expect any club wanting to sign Remy to have to weigh in with at least £20m. If he's got a release clause of only £8m, half of Europe will be after him.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Unless there is a release clause of £8m why on earth would we sell him for that. Makes no sense.

If we don't go up, then we will more likely have a transfer embargo in place until we don't have such huge losses. Therefore, we need to try and keep any players that could get us out of this league as quickly as possible, or could find we are down here for many years to come.

Fark all that he doesn't want to play in the Championship rubbish, neither did Barton and he's arguably been our player of the season this year.

But nobody can buy him till season end as he is contracted to the geordies.

According to the Newcastle Chronicle they can get Remy on the cheap due to our financial problems

Even if he has an £8m clause, lets say 4 clubs come in for him, then it will go to highest bidder... simple as that.

Fernandes isn't silly by the way, he knows he's valuable.

If he has a clause then he will be sold at the clause price.

The bidding war would all be aimed at wages, bonuses and contract for Remy himself, and of no benefit to us.

No it won't ....when will fans get this....a clause means that price and only that price needs to be met by buyers

Pretty sure once the release clause is triggered the bidding can then start between other clubs.

cant remember where but im sure I read there wasn't a release clause or that it had expired...not too sure
if we go up though we should do all that's possible to keep him....apparently chas said recently he's looking forward to playing with loic if we go up

You lot have got short memories,it wasn't that long ago with this being bought rubbish that TF came out and said he has a fantastic relationship with Remy and was hoping to keep him obviously if we got promoted, but if we don't there is no release clause and he isn't going anywhere on the cheap,if the price is right then we would sell him and the Newcastle chronicle are dreaming,we aren't desperate for 8 mil but 15mil would probably tempt us,and it wont be Newcastle because he wants a champions league team, trust in Tony to get what he is worth !!!!

It does, I just checked with my mate who is an agent and he said if one club came in then yes he could be sold but others can then keep bidding etc.

If rangers agreed a certain fee as part of the loan deal then that is a different matter.

*all this is with the caveat of there being a clause, which obviously none of us know for sure*

Once a club meets the minimum bid to trigger a release clause, we'd be obliged to accept it. Other clubs may bid more, but they may as well save their money and use it to up their offer to the player, as he'd make the choice at that stage.
