Some say the same thing about Tom Carroll now!

"He was too good for us, he was looking to make passes that our players just couldn't read"

      100% correct IMO Matty

Had a stack of arguments with people in places like Bristol city having a go at him for misplaced passes and saying he was crap, he wasnt he simply passed on the assumption that the other player would be on the front foot rather than the back. He passed to the space in front of a player rather than pinging it at the back of a players heels which is method more generally applied by QPR players
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

Put that together with the fact that people make their mind up about players before they've played more than 2 or 3 hours of football for us, and will not see or acknowledge any positive traits after that, and some players just don't stand a chance here.

We're probably not alone, I'm sure this happens at all clubs, but it happens far too often here.

he was a bit lightweight like tom carrol....but that's where similarities end. Parejo was a good player. Diamond cross for that winner at Villa....happy days!

Things are expected too quickly by fans these days of promising players because of the internet and media overload generation.
We've been very unlucky in the way things have panned out for a lot of very decent looking footballers. The last three or so years we've acquired players that we thought were going to be proper decent (because of their actual form and ability WAS?) and as a whole they've all seemed to have gone backwards.
If you look at any of the flair players we've signed who have actually delivered properly (not including any loan players) Ale and Adel are the only two who I personally think have shown their true class. I, like everyone was "delighted" with the signings of Hoillett, Granero, M'Bia,Samba... etc......but the only ones that will get remembered properly are the signings we groaned about when they happened,like... Nelson, Derry and Green (who I think gets harsh treatment for a keeper who is probably one of the best we've ever had) You've got to remember that Warnock BUILT a team, and I think that's where we've lost all shape and direction as a team and club by throwing money around like an overpaid ponce at JP Morgan. We need to get a squad of players that are putting it in week in week out (old cliche I know), but I think we've got the basis going now for a proper decent team that will put IT in. We all know (and so does the media, because they always tell us) that we've got a lot of seriously good players that aren't playing to their abilities. Well....if it isn't now that these fukkas step up and give it a proper full on, all out assault on gaining promotion, then it won't be hard to see who we should/can get rid of. And in a short ending to this rant, I'm not going to lay the blame for our CURRENT situation solely at the players.....now is also the time for the MANAGEr/ment to get stuck in and actually get ****ing PASSIONATE!!!!!!!
            Here's hoping.

            Come on you R's.

But in the Championship it's all too hussle & bustle and in your face, they don't like it.

As soon as he left us went back to Real Madrid and played 5 La Liga games in the 2nd half of the season - can't have been too shabby.
I agree totally. which forwards did he have to pass the ball to? I often recall seeing him looking to pass to someone and getting frustrated at the lack of movement.

Some of us on these Forums stated that he was too good for the lousy players like Agyemang and Di Carmine who often looked like statues or clueless.

That's about how I saw his passes too. I used to sit in the middle of the upper loft and could see where he would pass the ball to, only to see the forwards run the other direction or stand still to his utter frustration. Some of the comments from fans nearby was to blame Parejo whilst a few of us would state the obvious place for the pass was the place he put it. It's not him to blame, but his teammates who just weren't good enough.
