  • Does anyone really care that much about F1

I could not care less about what Flavio gets up to with his Renault team.

I mean in all honesty I remember Michael Schumacher ramming Damon Hill off the road years back as the German cruised to another world title.

This sort of thing goes on all the time in F1 with people stealing blue prints of new cars, drivers using dirty tactics to help team mates out, but what has that got to do with QPR?

Yes now I know people will go mad saying he is a cheat and your probably be right be this is football after all.

I am probably in the minority here but not understanding what all the fuss is about.

The same usual suspects are going off on one having a field day, all I want is whats best for the football club.

At the moment Briatore is the man who has pumped millions into us, secured some massive sponsors, and improved the team no end.

Those that winge and moan about him fair enough but if he goes and the Mittalls dont invest, we will be in administration it's that simple.

Trouble is Funky is he's already been found guilty of fraud back home many moons ago and now this...

I'm sure there will be some vulture circling thinking he can pick up the club cheaply given the sponsors etc etc - no way is administration guaranteed.

I for one hope that this is sorted out quickly but to many people are jumping to conclusions if Briatore leaves this will leave us in deep trouble.

If the Mittalls show there hand and want to take the club forward then I would be delighted.

Funky - having been a formula one fan for man years now - nothing surprises me in that sport.Especially after the recent Mclaren fiasco - now this, but has been going on for years.

I share your worries about the current situation with Flavio and its consequences with this club.

Im sure however there are many clubs up and down this country that are being run by lest than shady people.

RA at Chelsea, although never proven(i think) has a very shady past - but Chelsea fans dont give a crap where the money comes from.

Also the previous Man City chairman raised afew eyebrows.

What concerns me is what the current investors, brought in by Flavio, think about the current situation. Will they re invest? have they got a get out clause etc..?

Once again - when we should be concentrating about things on the pitch, our off pitch saga's seem to take the headlines.

I wonder how much of our past 2-3 years saga's fiascos have affected the quality of managers / players that have turned down this club.

I would rather we be in the news for winning games.

Some would dig for dirt on Mother Teresa if she was still alive and involved in QPR and as usual its the same ones licking thgeir lips with glee that they have found some ammo to use gainst the club.

I could not care less what Flavio does in F1 and have yet to see what his alledged dodgy involvement in a rich boys sport such as motor racing has to with his guardianship at Loftus Rd.

Good God,who will be the next target to attack?

If as mentioned Flavio does walk and the Mittels do not fancy it then we are basically ####ed unless of course one of the many unnamed mysterious consortitums that were also waiting in the wings during the takeover turn up gain.

Strange thing is though that everyone who claims that as fact simply cannot name them can they?

If the Mittels show their hand and announce they would be willing to takeover then fair enough and let Flavio go but until then its better the devil you know I reckon ans to demand he leaves just because he is Italian as some are doing is just plain daft.

              Paul,

There was only ever one wasn't there? BP confirmed he had one and stepped aside to let FB take the reigns.

It has been alledged on many occasions that there were other offers though no one to my knowlege who has made these claims has ever proved it.

For what its worth I would have welcomed BP back with open arms as the man is QPR through and through and I sincerely wish he still had a major involvement with the club.

                  .
Spot on it's the future of the club that is the most important thing I just get the impression that some fans use situations like this for there own agenda.

Lets hope it all gets sorted quickly

                    I care as I love F1.

But I also care as how he acts, whether in F1, business in general or whatever demonstrates how he is likely to act with QPR.

He bullied Piquet, ran a team which allowed cheating, tried to force the FIA to drop the cost cutting measures and generally has acted/does act like am egotistical nutter. I dont particularly want him or his attitude at our "family club"

I must admit i would be very concerned about the future of our club if Flav walks or is forced out...would Bernie go too? and then the Mittals...that would probably leave us right in the ****e!!
At the same time if Flav is found guilty of cheating then how can anyone have any respect for him? He'd certainly need to take a back seat for a while until things calmed down.

I dont give a dam about F1, dont watch it, dont keep up to date with it atall...

But i do care if whatever it is they do in F1 effects QPR. God knows weve had enough dramas, we dont need anymore... But then again i guess them even being here in the first place is another storyline in the never ending soap script.
