Ok so it was partly in jest but when I read stuff like this I really do fear for our club.
There are only two ways supporters can take control of their club when it has lurched out of control. One is a supporters trust buy out. This model has worked well but the skyrocketing level of indebtedness at QPR rules that approach out unless administration kicks in, and the supporters are the only alternative left.
The other is to start again at the bottom, viz United, Wimbledon etc etc. People who think the concept of Real Rangers FC is totally crazy have to ask themselves how sanely QPR FC have managed their affairs in the TF era and where this could all lead. It all depends on what you think constitutes a football club and where its identity lies. If enough people supported the re-constitution of a club in another form (RRFC or whatever) than that would be a perfectly legitimate move.
The real worry is that conversations like this are cropping up more and more (Cardiff fans are having the same conversation) as football comes to terms with the consequences of chaotic, media rights inspired ownership. But maybe that is a good thing.
spot on old bean...think some are truely burying their heads in the sand reguarding how serious a financial mess tf has put us in.....bigger clubs than us pompey/leeds have been destroyed by financial mismanagement!

How about 'sweaty' Rangers too ?
Have a look at the FC United of Manchester website, only been going a few years and seem very professional !
"FC United of Manchester is a community football club owned and democratically run by its 3187 members. Its corporate structure is a Community Benefit Society and membership is open to all, with everyone an equal co-owner, holding one voting share in the club."
FC United exists to provide affordable, supporter-owned, community-focused football for supporters who are tired of modern football's constant pursuit of further riches at the expense the fans.
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%? For us that would mean around 29k."

Breath of fresh air and the sane response when you club becomes a victim of corporate culture. Reclaim it.

What will you say if, hypothetically, TF makes a success of QPR in the long-term? I mean it's not as if that scenario is totally inconceivable, is it. Will you then admit you were too hasty in your criticism and be happy to eat humble pie, as a genuine QPR fan?
Seems all a bit odd this. The Fernandes era is just another chapter in the history of our club, albeit a major chapter. We've had numerous owners in the past trying to do something different with our club, but we're still here.
People have been moaning about moving to a new stadium, yet these same people want to go off and start a new club!
If that's what they want to do, fine, but the rest of us will carry on supporting QPR through thick and thin, for we are REAL RANGERS FANS.
I see my relationship to QPR a bit like wedding vows. For better for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer for poorer, till death do us part. Ultimately, I'm a QPR fan and will stick with the club no matter what, and refuse to desert it come what may.
That's what true support is all about.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Yes. Promise.
Rich, starting a new club on the Scrubs isn't really comparable with the Tracy Island project.....
