  • QPR - the "has beens" XI

I was just sitting there thinking just how many has-beens we have, and it amazed me that we could almost put out a team of such players.

    Manager: Harry Redknapp

    1:

    2: Jun Si Park
    4: Aaron Hughes
    3: Luke Young

    7: SWP
    5: Jermaine Jenas
    6: Niko Kranjcar
    8:
    11: Yossi Benayoun

    9: Bobby Zamora
    10: Andrew Johnson

Hughes and Harry have a lot to answer for...

Could put up a "never were" and "never will be" eleven too, if it weren't too depressing.

Nope, its perfectly valid. You seem to think that just because we disagree with you wanting redknapp out right now, we are happy clappy everythings perfect types.
Cant speak for TW but if you read any of my posts that arent directed at you, you would know that, while I dont think its the end of the world, I find our slump a little alarming. Theres nothing I want more than for us to go up automatically as I think we would fail in the playoffs. I also agree that the players mentioned above are all past it and/or are sh1t. And yes, the last 5 games have been especially sh1t. But if you had bothered to ask that instead of acting a complete numpty, you would know that.

By the way, BushLover, Karl Henry could be number 8.

I won't have yet another protracted discussion about Park, but to really qualify for this list, should not the player have proven himself useless this season as well, either due to endless injury or permanent degradation of abilities/form? Since Park has been consistently putting in MOTM performances at PSV this season, he really does not belong on this list. He only had one bad season in his career, and that was with us last season when pretty much the whole team was a nonworking heap of complete disarray, with Remy being perhaps the only player in the attacking half of the pitch that performed. One bad season after eleven or twelve good seasons, followed up by yet another good season, if you were being honest about it, you could not classify him a has-been, not yet anyway.

Contrast that with all the others on the above list. Park should not be on the list much less rank #2 by any measure other than the fact that he was the most successful prior to his one bad season.

That's all I have time for. Probably for the best anyway.

Nope - he was total shyte for us so absolutely qualifies for the 'has beens' list. Totally pony.

I don't buy all this guff about him supposedly being motm in every game he has played out in Holland either.

Gotta be said though, whenever it comes to Park you can always rely on joon not seeing things from a proper QPR fans point of view.

At their peak they'd've been a half decent Prem side dont ya think?
