  • Charlie Austin

Doesn't care if we get promoted through the playoffs. My question to him is what will happen when we don't get promoted. He will be high on shopping lists at the end of the season
be it the promoted teams or lower Prem teams. Will he stay to have another go with us?......

More likely high on charlie than shopping lists with his track record.

I think he will stay and be part of a better, fitter and more energetic younger side next season.

The likes of Dunne, Hill, Benayoun, O'Neil, Krancjar wont be at QPR next season. And possibly 2 from Henry, Barton or Jenas will also leave.

A faster defence will mean QPR can defend further up the pitch allowing the midfield to provide more attacking support and this would allow more support from Hoilett & Phillips. If QPR play with 2 strikers (probably need to buy one), I can see Austin having a great season (barring another injury of course).

If QPR sell Remy, Taarabt, Granero, Diakite for £25-30M there should be enough funds to buy younger players to replace those who will be leaving.

Leicester & Burnley have shown that you don't need a big squad to succeed, but you do need younger & fitter players, plus a bit of luck with injuries.

hate to say it but I don't rate him one bit as a prem striker. Anyone with a leg to stand on is a god compared with the rest of our strike force so he'll do for us in the meantime.

btw where is that irritating mod who got upset with me when I pointed out at the time that BZ was an awful, awful signing. He loved Bobby sooo much.

someone else got pissed off when I mentioned that Kevin Doyle was an utter waste of space. The proof of the pudding.....

Why do we buy these absolute non starters? We'll have trouble giving them away.
