He obviously doesn't think HR will stay beyond the summer so best to get his new deal (and HR's cut) in now as no new manager is going to see him as a good use of 30k per week or whatever daft amount he's on.

not into conspiracy theories but . . .if we got promoted a lot of the players will be out of the door because they are not Premiership quality, is that why some don't bust a gut for the cause
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

Of course he is keen to sign a new deal - which other club would possibly be willing to pay a has-been the sort of money we do?

No he is crap along with all the other loans or short term players harry has brought in, our new manager will want his own players when harry quits or is pushed in the summer

He is a Championship level player now. If we have ambitions for the Premier League, why on earth would we offer him a new contract?

Yes, he'd be good for a team that wants to survive and then maybe put a good run together and maybe sneak into the play-offs. But knowing Harry he'll say he's a "triffic lad" who works hard in training and TF will come up with the cash for a nice contract.

If TF has learnt anything at all over the last few years, I sincerely hope that one of those lessons will ensure that absolutely no contract negotiations are finalised with any player until such time as we know who the next manager is and which players he definitely doesn't want. There cannot be a shortage of those from what I see week after week.

Our recruitment policy,( let's try him ), has been a complete disaster since we were promoted. About time we did something about it.

As others have posted he is past his best due to injuries. Don't know how he managed to play for England, was never that good. Can't blame him for trying to nick a few £ & sure his agent will be driving this. Got to blame the people who brought him in & sanctioned his salary. Need more pace & power in the team as we don't seem to handle playing against physical sides like Leeds were. very well. Need some younger, hungrier players not washed up has beens trying to get what they can before retiring.

The two players who were available at Spurs and we should have tried to get in front of Jenas were Livermore and Huddelstone

Huddelstone when on song is a joy to behold and one of the best midfielders in the country. Hope he makes the England squad for Brazil, ideal for the sweltering heat down there
