Our current league position is pumped up by good results in the first ten games of the season. Since then, a run of 22 matches, we have picked up 31 points, an average of 1.41 per match. If that had been our pace for the whole season, we would now have 45 points, the same as Watford.
And continuing that pace for the remaining 14 matches would give us another 20 points, for a season total of 77, which would normally be enough to get into the play offs. As for actually winning once there, not particularly likely IMHO.
