As has been said over and over, we have too many injuries to KEY players to sustain any sort of performance level at the moment. Mourinho couldn't get much more out of that cobbled together side that played today.

We have got rid of 25+ players this season and have had to re-build. Some of those players have worked out, some haven't.

If we don't make automatic promotion then so be it, and we can have a good go in the play-offs when we get some of our players back.

No point in constantly whinging about it, just the way it is due to a fair bit of bad luck.
Great post and factual and fully agree with you.....could you post more often please!

If that is perceived to be an excuse by some then so be it, but seems to me to be a pretty legitimate one.
,,not only legit but logical, ie key players out long term and results and performance levels dip, but some don't have any logic.

There are no excuses. We still have the strongest squad in the division.

The thing is, we are a laughing stock amongst other fans. Nobody can understand why we are so poor, and most seem to find it hilarious.

Was on another football forum during the game, and along with the incredulity that Leeds were live on Sky again, mostly it was people laughing at how poor we are, and laughing at Harry.

Obvious we have a closer view of things and are more aware of the contributing factors, but the underlying feeling from outside is that we have the biggest, most expensive and most experienced Championship squad ever, and they either can't understand why we are so poor, or are saying it's typical Redknapp, and what did we expect.

You just don't get it, do you?

It's not so much that we didn't win, but the absolutely appalling performances from the players. Yet again.

I expect you were one of the very few that took Clint Hill's comments the other day as sensible and that there would in fact be some improvement, as opposed to the usual repeat of the dross.

Let's face some other facts for a moment.

We are now nine, yes nine points off second spot.

We once again have too many players on loan. Even allowing for the very generous five allowed in a matchday squad, Harry has felt it necessary to have eight, so that three are being wasted at any given time. That is money that could be better used, is it not?

Once again, he fills up a squad full of over the hill and past it players, who have played for him before. At the expense, it should be pointed out, of our own young players not getting the experience apart from run outs in lower league football. That'll really help when they are needed next season. Problem is, they will then have no experience, so if the old fool is still around, he'll move on to the next batch of loans.

There was mention on another thread about Zamora and Johnson being told to find new clubs. According to the great Harry Redknapp, they were terrific players at this level, but all of a sudden, not good enough to be higher up the pecking order than Doyle, Keane and Maiga.

Every man and his dog knew that the striker situation needed addressing correctly pre-season, with another one to come in and provide an alternative. But Harry knew best. Harry has a wealth of experience.

Harry thought yesterday that we could still make the top two. He probably thinks we would be strongly fancied in the play offs. But Harry also thought we would stay up last season. When we didn't, it wasn't Harry's fault, but the bad attitude of the players. So what Harry thinks really doesn't matter any longer, because he is deluded.

Do you enjoy watching Hill constantly booting the ball into touch under no pressure, as he did numerous times today? Was he alone, or did Dunne and Green do exactly the same? Did you appreciate the Jenas free kick that nearly took a seat out in South Africa Road?

These are Harry's players. His team. His methods. His tactics. His fault.

Fed up with people constantly making excuses for him. His record of achievements over 30 years should tell us all we need to know.

Or is it just me? We should just accept the fact that with the biggest budget in the division, support from the owners in getting in cover for injured players, we should simply accept what we have seen over the last few weeks.

I'm so looking forward to one of them coming out in the week with how hard they are trying to put things right, that it's all just a small blip and how exciting it all is, being in with a shout of a play off spot.

                        We're not F***ing Yeovil.
