Agree not everyone's cup of tea....but in this division especially,... good player to have in the armoury

To be up front and just have balls blasted up front at you very few strikers are going to do much but I thought Doyle did well today.

Too many of our 'fans' expect us to have world class players in every position just because we have an owner who is prepared to put his hand in his pocket.

A reality check is needed imo
Some fair points to be fair but we're still the football equivalent of a medical cosh.... Insomniacs come on down...!!

        Definitely.

Surprisingly wanted out when he realised he wasn't going to be a guaranteed starter.

          Surprising?

Imagine having to explain to your family and friends that Bobby Zamora is likely to get the nod over you each week.

Plenty good enough for us and a lot, lot better than those that have replaced him in the squad.

I thought he'd have stayed and fought for his place, rather than going elsewhere.

Like Doyle, Mackie would chip in the odd goal, the rest of the season he would be doing his impression of a headless chicken.

If hoilett gives 90% of what Doyle gives, he would have been one of our top scorers.

You and me both. He's so overrated is unreal.

Mackie and Doyle could have been a relatively lethal combination. Mackie did at least move and create space for others.
Both of them are decent first defenders also. IMO, a sort of players we sorely miss now when Austin is injured.
