Makes me wonder why we got rid of mackie. Was never the answer to goals but with austin he'd do a great job in this division. Tbf to the lad the service to him has been poor. Got him 4 years too late.

Agree not everyone's cup of tea....but in this division especially,... good player to have in the armoury

Ok excellent is a bit strong I agree but in a team that is lacking in confidence I was quite pleased with his performance today.

To be up front and just have balls blasted up front at you very few strikers are going to do much but I thought Doyle did well today.

Too many of our 'fans' expect us to have world class players in every position just because we have an owner who is prepared to put his hand in his pocket.

A reality check is needed imo

Like Doyle, Mackie would chip in the odd goal, the rest of the season he would be doing his impression of a headless chicken.

I never thought he looked up to that much and Nedum had him in his pocket. He is some size but for his physical presence he never done much with it

Mackie and Doyle could have been a relatively lethal combination. Mackie did at least move and create space for others.
Both of them are decent first defenders also. IMO, a sort of players we sorely miss now when Austin is injured.
