  • Cannot break teams down

Much improved effort wise from last week but we simply can't break teams down.

Substitutions were a waste of time. Zero impact & someone has to take the blame for us even having players of that poor standard. Whether that be Redknapp, the board, or Beard for one reason or another.

I think we'll scrape into the play off's. Just. But our lack of breaking teams down is so clear it's untrue. Easy to play against us.

We need to bring someone in who can teach them to break teams down, I'm not sure we'll make the play off's on our current form, but it was better.

Henry played well I thought. Hope he remains in team until end of season. Yossi should be taken shot for the lame old horse that he is.

that would involve some degree of coaching though

Yes Henry done a job today & fair play to Carroll when he came on looked ok. Traore has to be the most improved player we have but not sure what Ravel was on today. Did he have a late night or something?!

I also agree about a new coach but firstly how many do we need & we'll still have the same mediocre players on the pitch regardless. Our inability to break teams down will be our undoing as it stands. We know we're short of goal scorers.

So why does Harry take Hoilett off for for Keane just as we start playing well and look threatening at the start of the 2nd half?

Why play Traore on the right when he's far more dangerous on the left?

Why take off Ravel for Benayoun?

            Etc...

These questions are directed to anyone, not just you Jimmy.

I just dont understand his tactics or substitutions at all...

Did you see old Yossi try to tackle someone on the edge of our box.......was embarrassing and henry that had to help him out.

He wants them to gel during the play-offs. No sooner

If Carroll done well then Benoyou was man of the match. What do some of up you see that I don't?

Although it was a better team performance to me we look like a side that goes out there without a prior plan. Set pieces, corners and free kicks seem to just get pumped into the box no prior thought or preparation is noticeable etc when we do get the ball in decent positions the positioning of players means the player on the ball is rarely offered any support players don't seem to know whether to stick or get forward which when its all put together suggests they don't have the direction off the pitch

We have no game plan it feels we just go out there and do it off the cuff

Henry and Traore best two players today

Thought Carroll came on and done what Carroll does not an awful lot. One of his first touches he put the ball out the ground.

I think we need to get someone new in just to raise the mood at the club......very flat again today

I think Traore moved to the right to allow Hoilett to play his preferred left wing although he seemed to stay there when Keane came in, I don't disagree with taking Hoilett off at that point btw as he was fading as usual! Sometimes these moves are dictated by fitness and injuries not just strategy! Harry said in his post match interview that Traore had taken a bad knock on the shin and we were basically playing with 10 men after he had used his last substitution!

Doesn't what you've described sum up Harry's tactical and technical acumen to a tee?
