Well, he has thrown away four years if it's only just dawned what he needs to do in order to ensure his talent isn't wasted and turn himself into a truly great player.

Couldn't quite see where he actually mentioned us in a disparaging way. A slight case of putting two and two together...

why is a set fee such a bad thing?

outside of one stand-out season in its second tier, he's hardly set english football on fire - has he?

a brief history: he failed at spuds, he wasn't so amazing when he first came to us on loan, ***one good season (at the end of which he showed zero commitment to staying with us)***, two seasons of struggling to hold down a place in our premiership side and a disastrous (even by his standards) loan spell at the fools.

i guess adel was on a fairly hefty wage, he was more-or-less finished in the premier league, to be honest, the club was hardly in a strong negotiating position.

(oh yeah... 4 wasted years? so his time with us was worse, in his opinion, than his time with spuds?)

I reckon he miss-counted and meant 3 years, which would make more sense.

Had that quote been Bosingwa saying he had wasted a year there would be a meltdown but Adel says hes wasted four (of which we won the league and he was our captain) and its perhaps he meant this, perhaps he meant that. NO he meant what he said; he feels he wasted four years playing for us lets be having it straight
Things are very black and white for you aren't they.
We have no idea what he meant by "I have already thrown away four years and cannot afford to waste any more time." He could mean that he feels he personally hadn't done all he could have for his own career to progress in the last four years, and he loved every minute of his time at QPR.
I'm not reading any anti QPR connotations in his quotes.

Its interpretation your correct however how you cannot connect wasted four years to QPR when those last four years he has been with us is a bit baffling. Lets assume your right then perhaps he would have been better saying 'I have had a great four years at QPR being captain, lifting the championship and had a great connection with the fans but I feel its the right time to move on in my career and try playing at the higest level but I will always we greatful to QPR giving me an opportunity' he never said that he said he wasted four years

If he was quoted saying he had had a great four years without mentioning QPR we would associate those comments as meaning us so why is it when the quotes are negative they should not associated??

I don't really care about Adel anymore.. He wont be playing for Rangers again.. TF and HR didn't want him (for whatever clueless reason) and his now in Milano.

I will watch Milan on BT sport if he is playing and I wish him well.. Great memories.
Don't necessarily care with what he has said.. I don't trust fvcking journo ####s

I don't want him. Gary O'Neil is a much better player. Changed so many games this season.

If there really is a set fee already then we're idiots! Say he scores 40 goals, same fee as if he scores 5! We must be desperate to get him off the books

Its not a disrespect to the club as his disrespecting himself saying he could of done much better over the past few years

How dumb can some of you be to not pick that up

People love to slagg the man off even when they he know he means well but you got bitter hateful people who want to put one of our greatest former players down

The Milan owner even stated its what he done for us in the Championship which impressed him and thats why his at Milan and Taarabt knows that

For someone who's speechless you do enarf say a lot

agree with what your saying. How much more do people have to take to finally let go. Like you said had this been Bosingwa it would've been a different story.. there would've been a price on his head by now.

He might have said all that but all we get to hear is the bit about wasting four years and what the journo choses to include.

Always has been, always will be. We had one decent season out of him. Get as much money as we can and move on.

No, if Boswingwa said the same I'd agree with him. He wasted a year of his career at QPR because he didn't try.

Technically he did waste the past 4 years , he was destined for great things at Spurs and was a flop. He probably see Spurs as a stepping stone back then but had to use us instead by stepping down a division
