I'm not a Harry fan and never have been. Lot of hot air but beneath that very average and now at the end of his career. That said when we got him I thought for a team in our then position to have appointed even an average Premiership manager was a good thing. In my view the appointment hasn't worked in either league, he failed to galvanise team in Premiership and arguably we got worse under him. This season we have mainly been poor and are lucky to be where we are. Now we have been found out we are not looking good.
As others have said when you look at the players who have been brought in we would choose to keep only a few of those whichever division we are in. Simpson, Phillips and Austin. I'm not counting the Scottish kid as he has been brought into development squad. Add to those Ned, Hoillet, Green and Barton and that is about it, possibly Traore. That is bare bones so lots out and lots in but not actually much progress in terms of building a squad and that is concerning. Too many disinterested, short term fixes.
The club needs to make a long term appointment and plan for the future. We have now tried quick fixes three seasons in a row and it hasn't worked. We have not moved forward on the pitch. The club has a bright future but it is pretty depressing at the moment even disregarding the last three results.
You've listed a possibility of 8 players and most of them are still young.
If Harry can turn this poor form around, I'll have no problem with him...but I haven't been impressed since he's been here. Fingers crossed for Saturday.

8 out of a starting 11 isn't bad
It is a squad game and with the amount of transfer activity we should be at the stage of tweaking and building on something solid. We are not solid. In defence we have Ned and Simpson and a few pensioners. Upfront literally just Austin. Take away the oldies and loan players and we are very light.
In my view we need another season of building in the Championship under a progressive manager and we could then look very different and move forwards with some genuine optimism. Longer term it is looking good for the club.
Harry will be gone in the summer if QPR fail to win promotion.
Why???
Because, the Football League fair play rules will apply and QPR will not be able to afford him amd his backroom staff.
QPR will also be releasing highly paid players like my Green, Barton, SWP, Zamora, Johnson, Jenas, Barton, O'Neil, Traore, Dunne Hill & Cesar whilst selling
Remy, Taarabt & Granero.
A new and cheaper manager will come in to work with developing players like Harriman, Ehmer, Petrasso, Hitchcock, Sutherland, Doughty & Skapetis etc along with Austin, Phillips, Faurlin & Hoilett. He will also have some funds from selling Remy,Taarabt & Granero (QPR should be able to get at least £18M for them) to buy a few other players to supplement an otherwise very youthul squad.
If the new manager is any good, QPR might be able to have a season like Burnley or Brighton are having.

Ill stick with the players I listed and possibly add Hoilett and maybe Faurlin depending on injury's. The reason we've gone for players like Benayoun, O'Neill, Henry is simply for experience to help give us an extra push (although I agree they've been $hit) but they are only here for the short term (not part of our future)
But I will agree I would like to see our youngsters given a chance IF ready.
Fair play for your positivity Nick but I think your flogging a dead horse now.. The Redknapp backers are slowly but surely fading..
Even if we win on Saturday I don't want him anywhere near Rangers anymore..

As much as I want harry to stay that's not the point I'm making. Im not talking about HR. Im talking about our squad and how IMO there doesn't need to be this big over the top, start from scratch rebuilding process. We've got at least 6 good solid player's who can make it in the prem and that will be our foundations, regardless who the manger is.
