  • However much you want Harry gone..

I'd still call for his name if that spanner at stoke and his chums was in charge.

Personally think our fans need to get some patience and back the team than constantly look for the negatives.. been a bad month not a bad season.

One win and some proper vocal support at home games will get the buzz back in the team, fans, management etc.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I'm always Mr Positive and never write off any chance we have.
Be it last season to stay up, or this season to get promoted.
But I am starting to have my doubts now!!
I'm not even laying the whole blame at Harry as it can't be his fault that a once solid defence is now a shambles.
Harry makes some strange decisions regarding lineups, substitutes when needed etc which he deserves flack for.
But, the defence is falling apart for me.
Hill used to look solid, but his game has rapidly declined recently.

I still think Harry is to blame as well, as he now looks like he has given up and can't wait for season to end.
But we have a squad with players who should be sorting themselves out.

am not into playground "its all your fault" type arguments. have lost all faith in our ability to go up but don't see any benefit in hating Harry for this obvious fact (strange though some of the z grade strikers he brought in were). simple truth is tony clearly felt he had wasted enough money on rubbish players (he has bought 50 odd since he bought the club after all) so in the most recent window refused to buy harry a striker who cd actually score goals. i don't blame any one individual for that - but the result was that our season effectively ended with that decision.

Wake up! Harry is clueless, he still doesn't know his best team! He plays players out of position and has signed a bunch of old has beens. How many times have you watched us this season and thought, 'we played well today'. Once or twice.

We've haven't scored goals all season and it was simply a matter of time until teams started to keep us out and score at the other end, yet Harry hasn't changed a thing. We've won 5 games by two goals or more, that's it. The amount of wins by a single goal could easily have been draws and we'd be bang in the middle of the league, that sums up the job he's done. In fact the majority of wins this season we've been left hanging on.

This is with an enormous budget.

Did I want Harry to takeover from Hughes? Damn right. Has he done any better? Not for me. Will we go up this season under Harry? Not for me. I'm now massively worried if we'll even be in the playoffs come May.

For the record, I think Leeds will beat us on Saturday. McCormack and Wickham up top will cause us huge problems.

There is only so much backing you can do when you see 3 back to back loses and spend in excess of £100 pound watching the 3 games!
Not 1 shot on target at Charlton with a clueless midfield pairing of Jenas and Carroll in front of 3,200 R's fans.

This team aint even a rangers side, its made up of players from every other club in English football.

Il back my team Saturday but Harry is not the answer anymore.. If we lose again Saturday, the situation has the potential to turn very nasty to Harry.
Loans are fine when a team is playing well but when a team is not playing well and losing then the gaffer has some answering to do.. especially on the wage his on!!

can you honestly say its been a good season? We haven't played well at all under HR! We just took our 2 chances a game with Austin in the side

I've said it sooooo many times this season is all about promotion and it doesn't matter how we do it!! The fact is all season we've been right up there. Yes we've been $hit but at least we've been up there... wait until next season to rebuild properly and to play this more attractive football we all want.. patients is key!!

So answer to your question.. yes its been a good season, maybe its not been pretty but as far as league position goes its been good.

Sounds a lot like before our 2nd season in the Prem.. 'wait until we rebuild for next season with more attractive football'

Im afraid I disagree with, its all about promotion.. Our club needs to be stripped bare, it needs a base to build upon. A base that takes longer to get together than a pre-season.
Which IF we somehow go up now, is all the time we will have to build a base and ANOTHER new squad

The main difference between this time round and when Hughes was in charge we have players in every position that we can build a team around.. Green, Onuoha, Simpson, Traore, Phillips and Austin all apart from Onuoha. IF we go up we already have 6 definite first team player's. All players with the right attitude and want to be here.

These 6 players are our base, our foundation for a Premiership team. We are in a great place to build.

Ok we had Onuoha last season but Green wasn't playing, Traore played out of position and the others HR bought in...

I understand the frustration - I too have spent a shed-load and felt disgusted after charlton and a few other home games. I'll even go as far to say as yes we haven't hit the expected performances and some transfers have been poor but we've stopped the rot which hughes and co started (with the clueless help of fernandes and beard) apart from cesar we haven't got many unsellable long term players at the club on huge wages - so for me we're in a better position already than when under hughes.

We do have a huge budget and should be playing better but we can't win every game.. again not a bad season so far just a bad month / handful of games.

I'm not a huge harry fan for what it's worth - I'm just sick and tired of the short term thinking at the club, by fans, management(especially Harry) and the board.

I genuinely think one game can turn our recent bad form around but it wont happen whilst fans are 'waiting to be entertained'. Get behind the team for the full 90mins saturday and if we lose / perform badly then give it to the players after the FT whistle.

Appreciate the positivity but I would say, Simpson, Onuoha, Austin, Phillips and Hoilett are to build on.. Traore will be gone sooner or later and Green is ageing.

I wouldn't call 5 players a good case when you have to find another 6 to field a team and another 5 or so to build and base a squad.
I would like to add, Ehmer, Hitchcock and Petrasso to that squad for next season in the Champ (I don't want to go up this season).
Then build further to the squad with a little experience, with a good young manager..
The club says its long term but they only look as far as the next season and getting promotion - doesn't make sense.
I don't know why were so hell bent on getting Benayoun's, O'Neills, Henry's.

I'm not a Harry fan and never have been. Lot of hot air but beneath that very average and now at the end of his career. That said when we got him I thought for a team in our then position to have appointed even an average Premiership manager was a good thing. In my view the appointment hasn't worked in either league, he failed to galvanise team in Premiership and arguably we got worse under him. This season we have mainly been poor and are lucky to be where we are. Now we have been found out we are not looking good.

As others have said when you look at the players who have been brought in we would choose to keep only a few of those whichever division we are in. Simpson, Phillips and Austin. I'm not counting the Scottish kid as he has been brought into development squad. Add to those Ned, Hoillet, Green and Barton and that is about it, possibly Traore. That is bare bones so lots out and lots in but not actually much progress in terms of building a squad and that is concerning. Too many disinterested, short term fixes.

The club needs to make a long term appointment and plan for the future. We have now tried quick fixes three seasons in a row and it hasn't worked. We have not moved forward on the pitch. The club has a bright future but it is pretty depressing at the moment even disregarding the last three results.

Ill stick with the players I listed and possibly add Hoilett and maybe Faurlin depending on injury's. The reason we've gone for players like Benayoun, O'Neill, Henry is simply for experience to help give us an extra push (although I agree they've been $hit) but they are only here for the short term (not part of our future)

But I will agree I would like to see our youngsters given a chance IF ready.
