  • Fans' funniest stories

    Hello,
    Ollie at FourFourTwo magazine here.

As part of our forthcoming Football League special issue, we're looking to publish a collection of the funniest fan stories from across the Football League this season and were wondering if any QPR fans were able to help? Many of the stories will be appear in the magazine.

The stories can be about anyone at your club – player, manager, chairman, club employee – or something you've witnessed inside or outside the ground this season, concerning the home or away fans. Or it could simply be something bizarre you've seen or a funny chant.

Here is an example of the kind of thing we're after.

Sign him up, sign him up
"Just as our game against Crewe was about to kick-off last week (I'm a Brentford fan), out of nowhere a Siberian Husky scampers across the pitch like something from a Winalot advert. As it frolics on the pitch, looking genuinely pleased with itself, some of the players attempt to usher it back into the stands. Not Crewe's No.9 Matthias Pogba, though. The hulking centre forward appears to yelp as the friendly canine trotts by him, much to the obvious delight of my fellow Bees. After serenading the eager mut - "sign him up, sign him up" - we turn our attention to Pogba. As well as barking at him every time he touches the ball, we chant: “Matthias Pogba, he’s scared of a dog!” Pogba's look of utter confusion only adds to the hilarity, as we go on to win 3-1."
    Darren F, Brentford fan

If you are able to help, please email your story fftfans@gmail.com, or simply post here if you'd prefer.
    Thanks for reading,
    Ollie

Yes watching Chelsea fans crying after we beat them at the bridge 1-0 last season, now that was priceless,
Watching Mata refuse to take a corner down the loft when we beat them 1-0 now that was priceless.
Just beating Chelsea twice when we were sh!t, 1-0 both times, priceless

      yes

yes i think the funniest thing ive ever seen at a football match involed my self,i must describe myself as a big bald headed guy
so it was the griffing park game and for those of you that dont understand football violence in london
millwall and west ham are up there by themselves really
they have such numerical supremacy that most of the other london clubs try to avoid a confrontation with them
so the rest of the london clubs are in varies divisions but most would say that tottenham chelsea qpr arsenal and palace are in the next division

teams out of these divisions have either no thugs at all or only a handfull ,not really enough to trouble any of the major clubs
      ....................................BRENTFORD V QPR........................GRIFFIN PARK

so before the game as a half witted qpr fan i park in the macdonalds, which is near the griffin park stadium,i accidently enterd the home end and i sat in the top tier behind the goal,at the other end i could see about 500 qpr fans all standing up and charting, and along the sides of the ground the brentford hurled insults

ten mins before the end of the game i didnt want to get stuck inside a heavily overloaded situation
with traffic at a standstill so i started to exit the ground
as i left the inside of the gate i was walking to where the qpr fans were massed, and seeing about ten hooded geezers out side the ground i assumed they were qpr so because i was worried about getting a parking ticket in the macdonalds car park i suddenly run towards the hooded geezers
now i assumed they were rangers so I shouted COME ON YOU RS
what i didnt know was they wee actually brentfords thug army, trying to arrange a fight with the qpr
they seeing me comming at them blew there underpants off and shouted
LOOK OUT ITS THE FAT ******X
so they took of but unfortunately for them they turned towards the macdonalds,so of course they thought i was chasing after them
when i got to macdonalds they had completely disapeard,I cant help but see the funny side of this story, there was i running to try to get my car out of macdonalds and there was them thinking that i was after therm
