  • Long term?

It surprises me when TF says that if we don't go up it isn't the end of the world as this is a long-term project. How can Harry be long term? How can a team of loanees be long-term?

Harry won't be here at the start of next season if we don't go up and the club will cut the cloth accordingly.

The way I read the situation is this season was all about getting up, hence all the loans (no commitment). Get who we can just to get us over the line. And if we make it we rebuild a team to stay in the prem and if we don't we start from scratch and rebuild from the beginning.

But if the season is all about getting us up, then why not fire Harry now and get in a manager who has a proven track record at this level of getting clubs promoted. We won't get automatic promotion, we'll be in the play-offs, and our record against the top clubs is atrocious. Get someone in now so they have enough time to prepare for the play-offs.

Its a case of trying to earn promotion on the cheap with regards to all the loans.

i dont get the policy at all with redknapp in or not..

we went down because we bought too many players in at once and obviously due to the attitude of those players..

if we go up with our current squad it will be a hugely different side we play next season. loans will go back, some will stay not all.. several players wont be able to cut it at prem level so we will look to replace them and subsequently end up doing the same thing we did last time.

Agreed ,we should be building a young team that will get us up ,stay together ,with possibly a couple of additions and have longterm future sorted as a solid Premier league team. Has TF learnt nothing from last time ?

Done two threads about this before, we have to bring in a long term manager in the summer. Or get harry to build a young team and get them playing decent football before he leaves.
