Ugly but interesting debate rears its head again.
Couple of scenarios kev:
A guy goes regularly but always buys his ticket from a tout but whilst in the stadium spends no money and doesn't buy anything from the club shop or a match day programme. He is there at the games so what category would he be in?
Second one - two fellas that never go but always watch on streams etc, one buys an item of low value from the club shop. Does this now mean he has the upper hand on the other and is ranked higher as a fan?

Can i also ask fella goes everyweek doesn't buy anything .....AND....and this is the important bit......just sl*gs off the players and moans all the time....Supporter? ...Cause surely there is such a thing as vocal support meaning encouragement not complaining??... Look forward to reply

Quick for instance, i like middlesex cricket club and follow their results, but have never been and never will go, so i couldnt ever class myself as a supporter . Same with england football team now actually, havent been since euro 98.

It does raise the question, why does support apparently now just mean financial support?
