Excuses?
We have a squad and budget that everybody else in this division envies like mad.
We have a manager famed throughout the land in Harry Redknapp.
Truth is, the club is right royally farking this season up, and no mistake.
Apart from continually adopting tactics that have the smell of fear of defeat about them, our biggest mistake was not replacing the gap left by our injured goalscorer, Charlie Austin, adequately enough.
We should have gone hell-for-leather and signed Jordan Rhodes, who alongside Doyle and Morrison, would have been an excellent response to a situation that would have been disastrous to a side like Burnley, who are not as fortunate as us to have billionaire backers in the boardroom.
As it is, we have gone for the cheap & cheerful loanee look, and we are now paying for it.

i agree that burnley and the rest would struggle with our injuries but id still bet they would put in better display playing against a very very poor charlton team! WE LACK HEART, PASSION, BRAVERY, WHICH ALL OUR RIVALS HAVE GOT IN ABUNDANCE! time for arry to go, i think he should be showed the door this week!

I think you are actually agreeing with shania. You are also saying the reason we are not going up is because we didn't spend 11m on Rhodes. We have spent fortunes on players but nothing of any substance this transfer window which given we didn't have a striker consigns us to another year in the championship

I'm a Leicester City fan, so I don't know your squad that well. However, I watched the match against Reading on the TV, and the one thought I had is that QPR played like a bunch of individuals rather than as a team. It's something that Nigel Pearson addressed at City after he took over from Sven-Goran Eriksson: he got rid of a lot of superficially good but expensive players (Beckford, Danns, Mills to name but three), kept the few who clearly wanted to play for the team, and brought in a combination of young hungry players and older but honest professionals.

The OP said that "If Leicester lost Nugent, Knockaert, Moore and Drinkwater, they would be f*cked", and I am not sure that is correct. We have Chris Wood to replace Nugent, Riyad Mahrez for Knockaert, Marcin Wasilewski who has played the past four matches in place of Liam Moore, and Andy King for Drinkwater. They are all good players, but more importantly they all play for the team: and apart from Nugent and King, they are all Pearson signings.

One thing to bear in mind, however, is that it takes time. Pearson rejoined us in November 2011, but it's only in the past few months that the team has gelled into the unit we have today.

Just a thought.

thanks... a sensible, level-headed post on here is a nice change. i agree... we don't seem to gel. against the fakes, we didn't seem able to string three passes together at some stages.

i sometimes wonder if we've brought in a couple too many players along the way and if that hasn't unbalanced the team. not sure the likes of krancjar, benayoun etc have delivered what was expected of them.

Not sure if you go to many games I go to almost all.

Traore is probably the most improved player in our squad.

SWP is not playing at all (if you hadn't noticed)

Niko is not setting the world of fire but effort is absolutely not one of his bad points.

BAE was being creamed over on here only a matter of weeks ago yet now he's a target?

I suggest you get to a few games & judge rather than just spout tripe.

Not happy at the moment no but it's down to tactics & team selection NOT effort.
