That's very true . Wasn't suggesting it was his fault at all just don't get what he brings to the table as our defence have definatly taken a downward turn since his arrival . However they are old enough to not be told how to defend
Classic example yesterday & last week Clint 'the saint' Hill switching off & leaving a man completely free 4 yards out to score. How can you blame anyone for that except the player? Downes was probably pulling his hair out watching that.
The reason we are now conceding more is that our defenders are old & are jaded. First 20 games 12 or 13 clean sheets because they were fresh now after a long few months their bodies have become tired & weary.
interesting to see that Harry spent the full 90mins stood on the edge of the pitch where as the previous 6months he has been in the dug out. He knows the pressure is on and we have f ucked it up
To late to wave your arms around on the side now should have started when it started going t its up at Forest
Downes just about sums everything about our current manager and coaching team. Old stagers who don't appear to have moved with the times, tactically, physically or indeed structurally.
You can blame injuries on bad luck but how many hamstring injuries have we had throughout the season, says a lot about fitness. Tactically have we ever out thought an opponent? McClaren loss is looking a real season changer.
