Fair enough lads! Just a comment! Only thought about it after seeing his name and thinking "wow, what a waste of a career!" Yeah there's a thousand things worse than this, true. Feel free to delete the thread if it offends anyone...

Because the club wanted him out - he had options to go, on lesser money, but decided to stay. Can't say the same about Murphy.

exactly, mind you, in all honesty, not a lot of other things to complain about really is there.....still, leave Murphy alone agreed.

I bet I earn more than Murphy, would have thought we'd want our reserve keeper on a low wage or would we rather pay 90k a week for a No.2

Come on whats the guy supposed to do other than be a good back up man, he don't throw his toys out or cause any concerns, always available

eh? pretty sure every footballer has plenty of options to play elsewhere on lesser money. I'm sure there are plenty of league 2 sides who might want Murphy as their first choice, for instance.

If they wanted him, they would bid for him and he could go....I could be wrong, but I don't think anyone did bid for Murphy. He would probably go if they did.

Cudicini is/was the biggest waste of a career.

Spent most of his career on the bench when he actually was a bl00dy fine keeper.

To me he is a freeloader when he would of been first choice for many prem teams.

I blame Murphy for the loss today. His stinking greedy attitude is obviously affecting the entire team. Murphy Out!

Say he is on 5k a week for example. He can sit on the bench for that or play every week for 500 quid in league two.He has bills to pay and food to put on the table.I know which option i would choose.Football is just a job like ours when you are at the lower end of the pay scale and medals and playing become less attractive than paying your mortgage.

The elite can be more choosy in their desire to play.

Yep, this. Some people here have a bizarre idea of what incentivises footballers.
