See on groupon earlier today they were begging to sell tickets at quite a reduced rate. Certainly cheaper than what I pay as a season ticket holder. This would become the week in,week out norm in a bigger stadium and surely the end to any form of incentive to a season ticket, save for having your own row that is.

A mate of mine can get comp tickets for a fiver for the games against the lower sides.
This is a good way to attract fans who can't usually afford to go or to gain new fans.

Not that I agree with it in the slightest, but we may not fill the 40,000 capacity but in years to come we would fill seats in the stadium through plastic fans.
I live in Milton Keynes and they have a good turn out for a League 1 side with no history at all, only been to see us there as have strong views on the subject.
If we are in the Premiership once the whole area is built, the support will be there.

Attendances depend a lot on who the opposition is, if it's on TV, kick off time, competition, economics etc.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I hate the term 'plastic fan'. It seems some people hate the thought that casual fans might actually go to games because they want to watch a game of football. Many years ago I was on holiday in Devon and Torquay were playing at home. I went along to the game because I fancied watching a bit of football. I don't see any harm in that.
I'm assuming people like HoopDoggyDog never watch football on the box unless we're playing. It's the same principle after all.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

You need the infrastructure in place before any expansion, its no good waiting till you are doing well and splitting at the seems.
I like the MK stadium, great design which can easily be expanded as and when required at little cost and time.
Chelsea a few years back when playing in the 2nd flight were only getting crowds around what we are getting now.I blew a lot on vodka and tonic, gambling and fags. Looking back, I think I overdid it on the tonic. - The one and only Stanley Bowles

Without googling it , I'm sure it was around 30k ........... What about the attendance against Southampton ? Don't know what it was BUT all the media had pictures of Ricky Lambert missing with an empty stand behind the goal !
."Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I don't think that's too bad for a Tuesday night when its on TV just after Christmas.

That is pretty poor but still higher than we'd have got. Also when they played in the league the attendance was 38,115
I think all this highlights is how much the cup competitions in this country have been devalued. Unfortunately the top clubs no longer seem to care as much as they did for the League and FA Cups... Sad but all down to the Premier League...

I do not want to be surrounded by neutrals like at Craven Cottage ,as if our atmosphere isnt bad enough as it is,, attracting new fans is a good thing ,being swamped by neutrals is not ,there is a big differenceRangers,Scooters ,Tunes and Trainers
