we get it that you hate him. And we get it you got a uefa z licence and talk to all the people in the football world who tell you they don't rate him. If you don't like people talking well of him just ignore it pal, no need to get upset over the internet.
Find me a post where I have got upset, awful lot more things both in life, and at QPR to get upset about. Just find it absolutely hilarious that so many are quick to slaughter players like Boswinga, Granero, Cesar etc for their behaviour without any evidence to support those opinions but completely ignore the unprofessionalism of Taarbt, which is well published and been evident at every club he has been at.

But each to their own and as I have said many times let's see where he ends up. Oh and I don't need to ask people in football to know no one wanted him as the fact he had his best season in our championship season and despite wanting to off load him no one would touch him with a barge pole. Even Briatore persuading his contacts at PSG was vetoed by the manager who knew football.

you know it doesn't work like that in football...which is why contracts aren't worth the paper

      • I get quite tired of this Adel debate, because as far as I am concerned, he is a great talent and I wish we could have seen that talent nurture under a QPR side that had good players to surround him, but sadly, both Hughes and Harry screwed up seriously, and I know it will never happen now - he's gone, and that really makes me sad.

But just to set the record straight because I have seen quite a few allegations thrown around - PSG never said they didn't want him. The Qatarais wanted him for the same reason that TF wanted Park. QPR priced him at 17m euros, but Leonardo didn't want to pay more than 12m euros for a player who had only ever done well in the Championship. This is what Taarabt said.

I suffered because of that transfer falling through, I suffered a lot. In my head, I was at PSG, at a big club, I was going to play the Champions League. And then you go off with QPR again. I had a nightmare of a year. It was hard. But I'm happy to have bounced back at AC Milan.

So I don't think it is right to blame Taarabt as someone who didn't want to play for QPR. It was more a case of someone who felt they were good enough to play at a higher level.

And the following summer when we gave Tarbs the number 10, I remember Tarbs saying he is happy because QPR are signing good players and have intent. And that's what I think it is with Taarabt, I think he believes he is a very good player and that he needs to play in a team with good players so that he can shine. If you're Taarabt and you'tre sitting at home and watching players like Wilshere and Ashley Young and James Milner and Joe Allen playing for the big teams, you're naturally going to get frustrated and think "I should be playing there".

What is also clear is that Taarabt is a player who performs well when faith is put in him. He did it for Warnock, and when Hughes brought him back in, he did it then too. However Hughes was too quick to drop him the next season and it was never going to work under Harry. Now that Seedorf has put faith in him, he's working his socks off. That is four games for Milan, and four games where he has apparently been voted their man of the match. This in a team that includes Kaka and Balotelli.
So I do believe if Harry had wanted him back, he could be here today. It wasn't working out at Fulham, and he was constantly on the bench. Fulham had a release clause to send him back. Harry could have gone to Fulham, and told them we want him back. Harry could have said to Taarabt "get us up and you're free to move to a big club on a free" (the money promotion would get us would far exceed the cost of letting him go for free). But what did Harry do? He came out and mocked Taarabt in public.

I personally hold nothing against Taarabt for wanting to play on a bigger stage. He's an honest guy, and he's always talked warmly about the fans at QPR and I know he has affection for the club and fans. I just think we handled the whole situation wrong. I mean, if I was Taarabt and I saw the likes of Hoilett, SWP and Jenas start ahead of me, I too would want to leave as soon as I could. Good luck to Taarabt, thanks for the memories, just a shame that it couldn't be more.

You lot are like a bloke who falls for the local beauty and keep believing she is in love with him even though she thinks you are a kn#b so consequently hang on her every word and twist it to fit your desire.

He doesn't love you, he disrespects you at every turn, tries when HE feels like it and most likely laughs at you to his mates, open your eyes.
            You are being very dishonest.

He said he wanted to move to PSG after he got us promoted and was depressed for a year,

You are overlooking the fact that a year later he signed a new contract at QPR.

                God this is hard work.

Why do think he signed a new contract with us if he wanted to play for a top team as you said.

                Because NO ONE WANTED HIM.

So instead of the constant threads lets just forget him for a while, defo not coming back until the end of the season if at all so let's see how it all ends up then shall we. Might have a few more decent games but eventually he will loose a bit of interest, training will become a nuisance and he will start to be late or miss a few.

If not I will be happy to admit he has future in Italy

That is a superb post mate. No lies, no wild assumptions, just an honest and balanced assessment.

How do you know no one wanted him? To me it looks like clubs weren't prepared to pay the high asking price but would still be interested in taking a risk on him if he was available cheaper. Let's look at the facts, he had been Championship player of the season, had a bad start to the Premiership but then had a strong finish and helped keep us up. Do you really think no one would want him because of a bad few months?

I think your dislike of the guy blinkers your impartiality, and so you sit there trying to find every bad in Taarabt, just as his fans try to find every good.

Thanks mate. Whilst Adel has been no saint all the time and deserves some of the criticism he gets, it never ceases to amaze me how some of the fans seem to "hate" the guy and are just sitting there hoping he fails. For the memories of that one season alone I hope he goes onto do big things and fulfil the potential he has.

                      • This debate again? Anyway for what it's worth; so Adel thought he was better than us and the championship - fair criticism that people have the hump with him about. But surely the fact he's now scoring for AC Milan and starting Champions League games proves him right? Good on him, I say - ridiculously talented player, showing he is actually too good for us.

I'm not really sure I could blame him for not wanting to play in the Championship. He did it before, and then he had two relatively poor seasons in the Premiership. He's 24 now and should be peaking, so it's only natural for him to want to play at the top stage. Plus, he never said he is better than us, on moving to Fulham, he actually said in the Press Conference that he hopes to come back to QPR one day,
The trick was to get him back when it wasn't working out at Fulham. They would have let him go, why would they keep hold of him when he wasn't even making the team. But Harry came out and mocked Adel not being able to get first team games. Then when Taarabt went to Milan, Harry mocked him again, saying how funny football is and how you once had to be a great player to go to Milan. And when Adel started doing well, lo and behold, Harry said he would have taken him back but Milan got in there first!

                          • I'm amazed by some of the Rangers fans. What did you expect Adel to do in a struggling team? During our two years in the Premier, we were always struggling. Conceding stupid goals, most of the so called stars at the time looked uninterested.....so why blame a talented 24 year old who believes so much in himself. (rightly so!) Its incredible the way we do things. We had Parejo for a season and said he is not good enough for us....now he is playing for a top team in La Liga. Routledge was not good enough for us because he was in and out of the Premier...look at him now. Even the like of Delaney, who was always slaughtered here, he is doing ok with Palace. We're expecting too much I think and maybe the biggest problem is that for the first time we are no longer a selling club. But unfortunate for us we're bringing the wrong players to the club. TF needs to put a QPR men to be in charge of players acquisitions. If only Gerry Francis had the luck of a Chairman like Tony......
