  • Has Harry moved us forward?

    ...or
    2. has he just continued us in a down spiral from MH days; or
    3. stabilised us; or
    4. Not done anything and we've reached some type of natural equilibrium.

To be fair we haven't made any way forward since Warnock, looking back he was very harshly dealt with. Hughes was lucky in the survival season because of the home form, helped no end by the fans support. Redknapp hasn't done much at all to improve us, relegation even with enough time to keep up and in all honesty we haven't played well in more than 2 or 3 games so far with real danger of fading drastically.

So I would say number 4

He improved the squad on paper not on the pitch Except that he didn't bring enough strikers from the begining.

The only thing that's improved is Harrys bank balance.

to me biggest disappointment is that he has bring too many old players who don't have a future, no matter if get promoted or not we have to re-build the squad again next season and in that case i wish we sign younger and hungry players. I go number 4

Many players contract expire this summer so hopefully with a new manager we can rebuilt and give our youngsters a go.

Of course he's moved us for forward. What a load of b0ll0cks if you think otherwise. How the fock are we any worse or the same to when Hughes was in charge!!

He's cleared all the shower out and replaced with decent player's, 3 of which are injured (not HRs fault). Some people really need to take a step back and realise this is and still is a rebuild of a whole squad. Just because the players aren't playing top notch football even though most of them haven't even been here for a year yet. It all takes time for focks sake.

He has introduced some mightily impressive jowls to the club. Aside from that has done nothing but they shouldn't be underestimated and he is also very good at leaning out of car windows.

With most of our players, time is not on their side.

In the end, and given Fernandes will invest in an enthusiastic and "updated" manager next year , I think we should be satiesfied With the fact that Harry has prevented us from suffering a total failure like Bolton and Wolves have face after their relagations. IŽll give him that.
I do also think that some of his signings have let him Down. OŽNeil and Cranjkar are two of them. This fact has not made it easier for him and his tenure here,IMO.

                        My conclusion: 3) Stabilized.

I'd say yes, massively. He's done well to shift out Hughes's players and bring in harder working players in a short space of time. He's built a squad capable of an immediate return to the prem. However, he should have brought in a lot more younger players. Although he's brought in the 'right sort' they're either loans or on their last legs. Maybe he's planning to rebuild the squad with younger players in the summer should we go up, which would be very risky as we'd have to wait for them to 'gel' again!
