Yeah, they'll just cancel the new stadium/training ground too!

Just a point though. Don't the clubs coming down from The Premiership this season come down with a hell of a lot more parachute payment money then other seasons due to the new TV deal so might be even harder to get promoted from next season?

                Really can't see that.
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

agee. and also its difficult to build a team for the prem when you are not in the prem....for instance the attempt to get hooper....Charlie if he didn't fail his hull medical....joey if Marseille stumped up the wages...remy to toon etc

Shania - whilst there is no doubting your passion and support for the club - some of your posts can be a tad over dramatic - given the investment and forward looking in terms of training ground and new ground - it is clear that they have the long term in mind

In fact I recall tony saying that he didn't mind a season or two in the championship if it gave us the opportunity to rebuild etc

I will take it to heart and hopefully learn from it. No Wonder, I have a soft spot for our Joey. He has calmed down this season.
PS. I think you are correct about what Tony supposedly has said. I hope his scouting team alreay have identified some interesting targets for next season.

Want us to win the championship, but promotion to the premiersh!t is not top of my wish list.
Know you can't have one, without the other, but failing to become champions of the championship will be a bigger blow to me, than failing to win promotion to a league where we will just make up the numbers, and never compete in.
