They won't drop it.... The accusation of deliberately causing a crash is about as serious as it could get, especially given the very recent incident with Massa and the damage a tiny spring following a crash casued.

This is very serious indeed, if found to be fact, and there will need to be accountability.

Although Flav is shady to say the least, and if anything was done i would assume he must have been in the loop, this also wreaks of Renault finding a high profile scapegoat possibly...

As for QPR, well i actually think it could be a good thing as we may now become his main passion and priority, which in the past has always been F1. If he takes QPR more seriously, then surely he will be more inclined to invest time and money to getting us promoted and start to achieve things.

He's been sacked for race-fixing... that's as serious as it gets.

He might not have the choice to invest more time in QPR, or any other sporting club.

I'm no expert on these things, but the fact it did not go to court and that it was never proven, I'd expect him to continue his role at QPR no problem.

He will probably get back into F1 when the dust settles.

Sorry guys but he needs to go. If he has cheated now he will cheat again.
Dodgy man who I don't want to be involved in with my club!

I think the last line proves the first line correct, Pete.

Sorry, but as far as F1 goes... he is history.
QPR??? That's up to the FA probably.

FB is still highly regarded in F1 circles and is still the leading candidate to take over from Ecclestone...

                          This.

Briatore was a dead-man walking in F1 for years, he's 100% finished now

It's still going to full enquiry/court.
                            Monday.

This is just Renault protecting themselves, a bit.

Hanging Briatore out to dry, if he's found guilty - which Renault are admitting - he's still in big trouble. Unemployed or not.

Pete, are you happy for him to continue being the owner of QPR FC, as the whole world knows he is guilty, court case or not ?

not necessarily, because Symonds has gone as well, Briatore carries the can as chief executive but as neither will be defending themselves Renault will get a constructors points ban and that will be that.
