  • Anyone having trouble with the index posts page?

Normally when I login, I can see where there are new posts on any topics because they are highlighted in bold. When I've read the new post and go back to the index list, that post has then become normal type, in other words, read.

But now all I see is the same lists of 'new posts', but have to click on them anyway, because that is what I am used to doing, and finding I have already read them.

Then also a particular topic is showing as no replies, and when you click on it, you find a few replies to it.

It's really p*****g me off atm. Is it happening to you? Or maybe the faults with my computer, although I find that hard to accept.

If it's to do with forum settings at the site end, can't the messages be updated automatically as 'read' or 'new' instead of time delays?

Have you got the site open on more than one device?

No, and your reply is not registered at 9.56 on the index list either. I just came here to do a reply to myself to see what was or would happen :(

At 10.05 now, my thread is showing as no replies

And no-one seems to have made any new posts anywhere since 9.27

I'm not seeing anything similar here.

Greengrass, I'm experiencing the same issue as you, with Chrome. What browser are you using? The only cure I've found for this is to empty and delete the cache and cookies which I know is a nuisance because some cookies need to be kept in the system.

This could be something to do with the site getting hacked into recently and some admin settings being sabotaged. MYU and his tech are currently working hard to resolve this.

Ok Stan no problemo. I use firefox, but it was the same on ie and chrome. vbulletin have a forum site which MYU should have access to. I'll try the cache as well, bit hesitant about cookies as it's passwords and ID's everywhere else that have to be re-logged

Yep I think he's been on there, Green. I'm all working fine again having cleared my cache/cookies - might be worth you trying that. (cue Matty etc)

Done the cache but no change, that leaves cookies and active logins, I'll try it then

I know what you mean. I now use 'lastpass' for passwords as I find it more secure, and it doesn't have a bearing on deleted cookies.

Make sure it's 'from the beginning of time', not just from the past week or month?...

I have had a go at replicating this issue, however have been unable to do so The only thing I can think of is thread information cache, so I am rebuilding that. It takes hours to complete though. Please check back tomorrow to see if the issue still exists.

Thanks will do. I'm sure I deleted all watrbs cookies from time as there were no other options. On fire fox I could just pick cookies I wanted. There were 4 associated with here.
