Would be a brilliant replacement for Phillips if by some freak of nature we were to get him.

Although I'd be counting down the days before he gets filled in by Clint or Joey.........

              From the Sun...

              Exclusive

By ANDREW DILLON Published: 3 hrs ago

RAVEL MORRISON is poised to join QPR on loan from West Ham today.

The midfielder, 20, has gone from being an England World Cup hopeful to keeping the bench warm at Upton Park.

And Hammers chiefs are keen to farm him out to give him game time and to reflect on his future.

A West Ham insider said: “He’ll go on loan to a top Championship side as he needs to be playing and his style of play doesn’t fit in with the way we are playing at the moment.”

Morrison last started a Premier League game in West Ham’s 3-1 defeat at his former club Manchester United four days before Christmas when the club was riddled with injuries and suspensions.

The player has been battling an ongoing groin problem which has hampered his performances.

Morrison grabbed the nation’s attention last October with a starring role in West Ham’s shock 3-0 win at Tottenham in which he scored a late wondergoal.

It led to calls for the England Under-21 player to be given a chance in the senior team with the possibility of joining Roy Hodgson’s squad for the World Cup finals this June.

There was also talk of a new contract for the promising youngster.

Premier League Fulham made an unsuccessful £4million bid for him in the January transfer window.

But in recent weeks the player has failed to hold down a place in the West Ham team which is battling against relegation.

A return to form for skipper and midfielder Kevin Nolan has seen him pushed further down the pecking order.

Morrison spent a season on loan at Championship Birmingham not long after joining West Ham in a £650,000 deal from Manchester United in January 2012.

He is now heading on loan again for the maximum 93-day deal but West Ham will be able to recall him after 30 days as injury cover.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp fancies the talented midfielder to help boost his team’s push for promotion back to the top flight.

People turning their nose up at this lad? Quality player, yes he might have an attitude problem but I'm sure Arry knows that. With our injuries this would be a god send and could be that extra bit of quality to send us up. Hope it's true

Rangers spokesman did not actually deny it. He said he wasn't going to sign today. It sounds like until his injury is cleared up he won't be going anywhere.

Sign him up..NOW. With Phillips and Austin injured he can definitely chip in with a fair share of goals.

What, like the 1 in 10 average he had with Birmingham in this league last year....?? Hardly prolific.

Not sure why people are putting this problem player on such a pedestal. What exactly has he ever done in the game...??

So you haven't seen much of him at all this season? 3 in 16 for west ham in the league. 2 in the carling cup.
