If we don't get promoted this season, what do people actually think will happen next season. There seems to be an undercurrent of "if it doesnt happen this time round we're doomed" amongst quite a few on here so wanted to gauge opinion.

Don't think we're doomed at all . Quite a few players out of contract in the summer which means massive weight off the wage bill . We will still receive parachute payments and would still have some good players in the squad . Don't think it's a total disaster if we don't go up however there should be an inquest as we have arguably one of the strongest squads this division has seen in recent times

one thing is certain no matter do win a promotion or not, there will be major changings in the squad. Many, many players who have seen their best days who can't made in the PL anymore if get up and if we don't mission is failed and they will be released anyway. New team must be build around players like Joey, Phillips and Austin and it would be nice if their careers are going up,not down. Once again it will be very interesting summer for a QPR fan, high blood pressure, depression, high hopes and a couple of aces fom Tony's sleeves and etc....

If we don't go up, we're going to need to rebuild, with all the loans and elder players we currently have at the club. Might take a couple seasons to go up from there but it'll be worthit when we eventually do go up as we'll have a proper team that know each other, will be easy to build on. Don't think Harry would want to stay here that long in the championship, so it would probably be someone else to take us forward.

Anyway, we'll probably go up this year. But we have a lot of loans and players on their last legs...so we're probably going to have another massive transfer window if we go up. Would rather we bought lots of youngsters at the start of the season, installed them into the side this season so we have a proper 'core' to build around next year. Hate the way we've been doing business all these years. This club doesn't know the meaning of 'long term'.

staying down would be the best thing if it meant a policy based on blooding a couple of our talented youngsters and only adding younger players from outside. It would also mean bringing in a young manager who gets the way the game is going tactically.

Unfortunately this wont happen because I still don't think TF gets long term.

I'd like to see where Leicester, Burnley etc would be if they'd lost 4 of their best players for the season through injury...

Not going up this year would heap untold pressure on to go up in the last year of teh parachute payments.

Also not sure how the FFP rules would affect us next season?

If we don't go up I can see the likes of Austin moving on. Prem clubs will definitely be interested.
