  • How long does it take you to get over a loss?

Following a recent remark on here, how long are you affected?

    An hour or two

    Ok after a drink

    A day

    Two days

    Till the next game

Depends how big the game was

    Is it an age thing?

Depends more on how engrossed you are as a fan?

    Other?

    I'll kick this off, unsurprisingly!!
After a loss pee'd off for an hour or so and then all forgotten. The thrill of a win however can get a buzz from for a few days.

When we are doing well and trying to get into the premiership (or stay in it), its till the next game.
When we are mediocre and mid table just till the next day.

Two to three days really, the older I get the harder it becomes to get over a defeat!!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

          About 10 minutes.

Too long in the tooth to stew over a QPR score. Football doesn't consume my life like it does some. Never nice to lose. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it personally.

When we lose I throw myself into a woman's arms to distract me it's the only way

Pain is less the next day, but I don't fully get over a loss till we play again.

This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

Until I reach the pub. On the walk there I'll mull over it and moan about it with mates. Once in the boozer however, nothing is going to ruin my night.
Next day won't remember anything so move on.

People get very emotional about football which is fine but to go a day, 2 or 3 days booing about a game I'd suggest therapy.

Mostly an hour or 2 . Some results , like, mondays creep up on you and it takes a few days. . .. still stewing over that one

The last three years has taken it's toll on my optimism. I still go into a match thinking ' 5 c0cking 0 to us!' is due, but it ain't really, is it?

Good job I've got plenty of distractions to focus on in life, getting over a loss in football should not be an issue for anyone.
