  • Transfer policy

Last 3 seasons we have had money to spend, just shows how bad our transfer windows have been. 7 loan players is it now? Maybe 8 if Ravel comes in and we're still so reliant on 1 player (Charlie Austin). Crazy when you think about it. We could of survived with Phillips and Simpson out, but without Charlie's goals it's a massive problem. Didn't look like scoring once tonight, toothless.

dunno... for sure we relied on austin to score the goals and he was missed tonight (to digress, i loved the fact that he tweeted the words "f*****g shoulder" a couple of minutes after the end, difficult to imagine adel or remy etc doing that).

realistically, how many guaranteed goalscorers did we expect to sign? uncle tony is trying to be prudent - he did what he thought was right 18 months ago and got lots of grief for it. spirit in the squad still seems good - keep the faith for a while yet.

Not sure it's just him, the board are desperate for an immediate return, consequently no foundations were laid for a long term strategy. It's quick fix, HR was given Samba and Remy to keep us up and that failed, this season it's all about a return nothing else, that's the clubs ethos and vision. I just hope such short sightedness isn't behind the new stadium.

I still reckon though we are well placed to go up this season but it doesn't feel right.

we wont do those under this regime. I'd prefer us to be mid table with a team full of youngsters who played a bit of football a bit of pace.

I don't blame the board for the transfer activity last month. Not many clubs do decent business in that window.

However, I believe the problems lay entirely with the manager and coaching staff. It's their job to prepare the players we have and to choose an effective game plan. Even us novices wouldn't have chosen the team put out tonight.

Look at Man Utd. They won the title with that team last season. They changed the manager and slipped right down the table.

We seemed to have set out for a draw against Derby and it backfired. The blame lies squarely at HR's door. Why are so many players failing to perform at the level we know they can? Players like Hoilett and Kranjcar can play good football. They've already proved that at previous clubs.

              I don't think it's a technical problem, I think it's tactical.

Hoilett needs someone else wide on the other flank so that we can attack down both. Reading away until he went off had him and Philips tearing them apart when he plays on his own he has to do it all and he isn't upto it. O'Neil was a wrong choice last night. Kranjcar a waste of talent. No feeding of any front man we have been fortunate to be where we are even in a season where Leicester apart there has been no consistency from the top teams.More damning though is how we have made hard work of even beating the lower teams 2-1 score lines feature a lot.Regretfully our transfer policy has failed this season one fit striker was never going to work. No one able to play the killer pass and a slow defence Have also not helped.
No one pulls my strings 😉

I think Harry's philosophy of 4-5-1 coupled with his faith in AJ and BZ probably meant we'd be ok. Unfortunately, Charlie got crocked when it was all a bit late to do anything good in the window.
