QPR at the Winter Olympics - higher attendance than our planned stadium?
Ye cas agree pal. 13k or so solid - fluctuates slightly. But only about 13k reliable home fans, anybody that thinks otherwise is deluded.
Poor really.
No Matty ,its not poor
its the size of club we are ,and personally i`m proud that we have 13000 odd who turn up no matter if we are in the third tier or the top flight , our crowd is hardcore QPR no tourists no hangers on
13000 hardcore Rangers will do for me
the other 25,000 are just waiting for a Frankie and Bennys / multi screen cinema to be next door ,and they will be there ,week in ,week out ,like the loyal fans they are
All depend if we can be a competitive premier league side. I know loads that would come down and watch but they will be man u etc etc. No chance with die hard but the owners are thinking money. We could fill it if we becone a half decent side playing top flight
So what I mean veapa is I could bring 6 mates with me and I am sure loads of others could too. We were just so shameful in our 2 years in it you can't think on lasy years and todays figures
Yeah ,i`m sure you could Weare , but do we want our ground filled with non QPR neutrals ? i for one dont
I wonder how many non QPR neutrals went to their first ever game at LR and left as fans? I'm sure if you'd had your way they'd never have been allowed in the ground in the first place.
What happens when this 13k hard core dies off? Who is going to replace them if you don't allow new faces into the ground?
I'd be interested to know how you'd attract new and young fans to QPR if you're against anyone outside this so-called hard core going to games.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

ive been going since 81 and the crowd has roughly stayed the same ,13000 give or take .So why you come on here with your scaremongering ,about dieing off ,i dont know. Also ive never said we should not allow new faces into LR ,you have a big hissy fit if you think someones putting words in your mouth ,so dont put them in mine.
Weve been attracting new fans since 1882 in the time honoured way of family ,friends ,area etc so i dont see that changing anytime soon . We dont need renta crowd to come along and kill what little atmosphere we have left ,like the Fools down the road.
Think that answers your points ,hopefully you will do me the same honour when i raise a point with you
My best mate and his Dad took me to LR when I was 7 and didnt even know anything about QPR. We aren't all born into QPR families! Just need to get new potential fans in, and the easiest way is with a decent side playing in a decent ground.
The school end leaks from all angles - right onto all these little kids. Not quite the impression we want to be leaving them...!

Didn't you say you didn't want the ground filled with non QPR neutrals? Everyone has to start supporting a team somewhere, and one way is to get local kids coming to the ground in the hope they end up supporting the team. They, after all, are non QPR neutrals to begin with.
When I first started going regular in 75-76 we were getting close to 24k. Nowadays it's not even 18k. Yes, stadium size may limit attendances, but without bringing in new people who may become fans, we simply will not develop a future fan base.
As to the argument you use about family friends local area etc. how many of us still live in London and the areas we grew up in? I don't and I bet a lot of others don't too. In the Sky and EPL age, kids are more prone to going off and supporting the likes of City and Chelsea. There's nothing like going to a game. It's much better than the TV IMO, so we should be encouraging more people to come along instead of dissuading them by saying we don't want non QPR fans in the ground. I'd be happy to let a few thousand youngsters in the ground free on a regular basis and hope that they all become Rangers fans.
But I digress...

i was talking as you well know, about this proposed new ground with 40,000 capacity filled with 25000 neutrals ,to make up the shortfall . ive no problem at all with local schoolkids getting free tickets for matches at Loftus Rd that we cant sell out . My issue is being in aground that is far to big for us and being swamped by neutrals.

No reason why it can't be built in the way MK Dons did it. Build the infrastructure then put in the upstairs seats as and when required, or at least cover them up. I thought there was a decent atmosphere there when we played them in the cup, and I was in among the MK fans that day.
