He never won us the league he played a major contributing part but he never won it alone

Its so annoying to read people saying that as had we only put Adel out on his own each week so therefore 11 v 1 we would have won sweet FA

The team/Squad/Management won the league not one person

I used to think like that, but have changed my mind now i can plainly see that charlie was getting us promoted. Now i can see the people who say adels 19 goals won us the league have a valid point

Every keeper pulls off saves, not every player scores 19 a season.

Indeed but you need a team around you to score that amount of goals. Mackies last min goal at derby set the season up had he not tucked that away could have been a very different season. Adel was immense that's not up for debate but won the league alone I'm not having that. Heider was key too and our season had hit a rot until Wayne arrived

Do you think we can still win it or get second without charlie then? I really cant. So as far as cliches go, we were a one man team imo if we cant achieve what we were doing without him.

If any person is to hold the individual "won us the league" title it's Neil Warnock.

There is no way in hell Adel will ever play as good as he did when NW was in charge. But that's just my opinion.

Well with 19 goals and 21 assists, i'd say A LOT of it was down to Adel. Without his goals and assists would we have even made the play offs?

i reckon we could of scraped play offs without adel.

but won the league? no ****ing way

look at the key goals he got us, the 2 games against cardiff for instance

Im not questioning what Adel done for us that one season, he was fantastic, fact! Im simply saying that only happened because we had a manager who let it happen, who put up with his antics and sulking. IMO there is not one manager on this planet who would've been so patient.

what did he do that season? not being a **** i just cant remember too much going wrong?

hull away is the only one that stands out.

also for all that, warnock took his captaincy away quick snap which was bang out of order

Read Warnock's book, Hull away was his biggest strop. Literally a few training sessions and another strop at the player awards at the end of the season when we had already gone up. Didn't really damage team morale by the sounds of it as Derry, Hill, Mackie etc kept him level headed. Following season he was much more mature...did some growing up!

Definitely Austin, as much as I love Adel we need goals more than anything else.
